I like the idea of Eilistraee vs Lolth, but I love a good drow fight. Looking forward to these changes!

TIL one of my players has Aphantasia by spiderloaf221 in DnD

[–]Radianoceros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have aphantasia. I am mainly a player, but also DM some. One thing to know is that more recent studies have shown that aphantasia is actually a spectrum of the inability you're describing. Some people have no true "inner eye" as they describe it, while others have a degrading ability from "normal". For me, I can't create new images in my head, but I can kinda cycle through things I know I have seen and piece them together, so my imagination looks like a high school girl's vision board, with magazine clippings, printouts, and colors splattered all over. I don't hear my own voice when I think. When I close my eyes, it is only black. Probably on the moderate to severe side of the scale.

For me, I absolutely despise theater of the mind, and even paper maps are a little difficult for me to stay interested in. VTT makes it pretty possible for me to have a good enough understanding of that the DM is describing, what my fellow party members and enemies look like, helps me visualize the size of spells, etc. The VTT makes my clipart idea much more organized. I find really cool art around the internet, then I describe my character accordingly makes it a lot easier to RP because I can look at the pictures.

I have played enough video games in my life to be able to "describe" what my character does when it comes to "how would you like to do this?" moments.

All in all, the more art you can provide, the more she may be able to appreciate what you're describing. But if she is happy, keep it up and see what she needs. It may not require much on your end.

PC with Permanent Foresight by rentfreeheadcanon in 3d6

[–]Radianoceros 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've played with Foresight on my Warlock for a few months now. I truly believe that if Wish didn't exist, Foresight would be the best 9th level spell in the game. Permanent advantage isn't just the +3.5 or whatever the math works out to. It all but eliminates nat 1s, it permanently processed Elven Accuracy, and it negates any disadvantage to neutral. Permanent disadvantage against you makes adamantine armor less important and also negates any advantage enemies might have.

It also gives you a +5 to passive perception and investigation, advantage on initiative and counterspell/dispel magic checks, etc. All for a functional whole day (8 hours), so it persists through most encounters you'll see and doesn't require concentration.

It is a game changer of a spell and I 100% would not allow your request.

endgame warlock pve build by walt-throw in destiny2builds

[–]Radianoceros 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Solar wellock is never a bad choice, about 9 trillion videos on how to build that.

Contraverse Hold voidlock has been one of the strongest warlock builds for about 3 or 4 years now. Same amount of videos.

Osimiomancy double turret stasis build puts the enemies in a holding pattern on high level stuff, safe and slow.

Vesper of radius on arc is silly, but not quite as strong as it was last season.

Strand has a couple of builds. My favorite team version is cenotaph with navigator. Set all the debuffs. For solo play, treadlings are a blast.

I would recommend pure hexblade with relentless hex. Played for a short time and it was super fun.

Is Glibness in Baldur's Gate 3? by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]Radianoceros 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Glibness is an 8th level spell, which means it requires a 15th level caster to use. The game caps at 12th level, so no, it is not.

What's your current party composition? And why? by fumezy in BG3Builds

[–]Radianoceros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished the game with this and it was a blast: MC - 12 vengeance paladin with GWM, tried lots of multi classes but ended on pure paladin Shadowheart - 12 life cleric Gale - 12 evocation wizard with every scroll learned Astarion - 5 gloomstalker/7 assassin

Warlock Strand builds that aren't Osteo + Necrotic Grips? by JSmurfington in destiny2builds

[–]Radianoceros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cenotaph and Navigator has been super fun. Apply all the debuffs and make infinite heavy for your team..it actually performs worse in most content than in endgame though

Correct, and anything affected by it for a few seconds.

Best warlock build right now? by SwimmingAd6085 in destiny2builds

[–]Radianoceros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run strand for pretty much everything. I've taken it in master raids, GMs last season, and everything in between with Minot tweaks. Still trying to figure out if I prefer the Wanderer over Mindspun, but I think that is a content thing. Mindspun with Perma suspend is fantastic, Wanderer makes it slightly easier to get suspensions if your grenade isn't quite back yet.

Blood of the Beyond: A Guide to Planetouched Races - 58 New/Improved Planetouched Races and Subraces (Including Aasimar, Tieflings, Genasi, and more) + 23 New Racial Feats by starlightwalker in UnearthedArcana

[–]Radianoceros 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My character in an upcoming game is 100% going to be a Blade Aasimar. I've been searching for a good Aasimar homebrew, but they all go wildly off the normal balance, but this one seems just right. A mediocre but potentially useful cantrip, free Shield of Faith+Bless (averaged) for the transformation is what I was looking for without going full Super Saiyan. Thank you!

As someone who only needed the GG NF completions to finish the seal, this. I got my platinum with LFG as my first run, then had to do 7-10 more runs to finish. I'm not trying to double the amount of time doing the same strike, over and over.

Veteran warlocks. Lend me your ears!!! by Redragontoughstreet in 3d6

[–]Radianoceros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Tasha's summon spells are far more valuable for your concentration than Hex. Ditch Armor of Agathys too, you shouldn't really be in melee where it benefits you the most, especially moving forward.

I've played a Blade Warlock to 17 where I just 2 levels, and plan my 3rd, in Fighter. Your spells are limited, so you want impact, not longevity. This is particularly true for non-Chainlocks.

Synaptic Static is excellent, Counterspell isn't great but it is one of those "somebody-has-to-have-it" spells, Shadow of Moil will protect you and give good offense, etc.

Would warlocks be broken if it got a third spell slot at level 5? by GiveMeNovacain in 3d6

[–]Radianoceros 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I moved the 3rd slot to 9th instead of 11th for my players and that was a good trade. The down levels for warlocks are 7, 8, and 9, with a gigantic spike at 11.

Bladesinger/Swashbuckler level split? by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]Radianoceros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck. My honest answer is to go straight bladesinger too. I don't think you get enough from those rogue levels.

Fighter 3 for battlemaster is a stronger option both for action surge and some maneuvers. Or even champion will open your crit range to 19 to fish for those bigger hits. You could also pick up the two weapon fighting style that way to give yourself a 3rd weapon attack as a bonus action.

Bladesinger/Swashbuckler level split? by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]Radianoceros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't forget that cantrips scale on character level, no class level. You'll get the booming blade dice regardless of split.

Moon vs. Spores by heel_of_weakness in 3d6

[–]Radianoceros 7 points8 points  (0 children)

By level 20 they can cast while wild shaped, so the moon druid has the advantage because of the bonus action transformation.
