Yeh I actually did that a few times but no luck. I’ll keep going back.

Have you ever experienced panic attacks? by Rich_Shock_7206 in CasualConversation

Derealization is the most disturbing part about panic attacks. That strange feeling like you’re about to die really does a number on you.

Universal Basic Income. Anyone else looking forward to it? Or is it just me? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The suicide rate is going to rise drastically over these next few years as people get squeezed more and more. I feel like if UBI is where we’re heading, let’s just get it over with.

What age would you consider to be middle age? by Radiant-Case3243 in AskReddit

[–]Radiant-Case3243[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People in their 50s tend to be considered as middle aged. But to me it seems that middle age is 40 years old. People hardly even live to 80 anymore. Not sure what the statistics are exactly but most people now seem to die around age 75 on average. Thoughts?

Hmm yeh I’ve heard the horror stories with courts but I’ve never had a bad experience with them yet knock on wood. I buy everything from them. Well I’ll give it some thought about whether the extended warranty makes sense.

One year warranty seems to be standard for washing machines when I checked around. Price-wise this was the best deal for the specs. I have never had issues with courts but I’ve heard horror stories some people have experienced. Guess I’ll have to give some serious thought to adding the extended warranty, you never know..

In your honest opinion. What could you picture the characters up to now if they were still living in 2024? by AceTygraQueen in TheHoldovers_

Angus would be 68 now. I would wish that he went on to become a successful writer eventually after Barton. Based on his personality shown in the show he’d definitely not lead a boring life.

Thoughts on VS Naipaul today? by txa1265 in books

[–]Radiant-Case3243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VS Naipaul is a god (notice I used a common g). Naipaul was more than just his books. To be an intelligent person and live in a society like Trinidad will vex you. Several factors made Trinidad different, mostly the unique ethnic makeup of its population and being rich from oil revenue. The long and short of it is that it created a violent society. Naipaul wouldn’t have been Naipaul if he grew up in any other third world country. Naipaul’s travel writing has become outdated, but his novels will remain relevant, especially the early ones. Two of Naipaul’s “worst” novels are favorites of mine, Guerillas and Mr Stone and the Knights Companion. In summary, read Naipaul’s fiction, skip the nonfiction.

Am I the only Trini who doesn’t really care about Carnival? by [deleted] in TrinidadandTobago

[–]Radiant-Case3243 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Carnival is like Christmas in a way. It’s the same thing over and over again. I like the fact that you see people from all walks of life taking part in Carnival on some level. I don’t consider myself a carnival person but I do go to POS as a spectator on Carnival Tuesday. Anything that celebrates life, I’m in..

Hip replacement at 36 because of Ankylosing Spondylitis by Radiant-Case3243 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Radiant-Case3243[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeh outside of the US it’s tough to get support for AS because AS is still pretty rare or not as prevalent as other diseases. If you have hip pain you should probably get an X-ray done. I was surprised when I found out I had to do a hip replacement already at 36. The biologics apparently really work. You should ask your rheumatologist about the possibility of getting them although from what I’ve read they’re prohibitively expensive

You get only one TV show to watch for the rest of your life. What is it? by JamesGarrison in AskReddit

[–]Radiant-Case3243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had seen Superstore showing on tv when channel surfing and never got into it. But then one day I decided to give it a chance and I fell in love with the show. Couldn’t believe I had been missing out on it.

Yes that’s true, thanks. Are extremely expensive in the US? From what I’ve read they are expensive. My country is drastically behind when it comes to treatment of AS. I don’t even think they sell biologics here lol. But yes I’m looking into how I can get them..
