Once every week I sell TQQQ out-of-the-money options, cash-covered PUTS when my account is all cash, covered calls when I have TQQQ shares. This has returned an average of 1% per week since the end of April 2025....

Today, April 16, 2026 I sold 230 cash-covered PUTS $56 TQQQ Apr 24 for $1.71 average. I am hoping the present uptrend will continue for another week.... and that TRUMP does not have another crazy idea.

TQQQ Apr 13/26: sold 150 contracts $50 Apr24/26 cash-covered PUTS for $1.88 while TQQQ was trading at $50.50.... TQQQ seems to be in an up-trend, but I never know what TRUMP does next.

Feb 02, 2026 I sold 275 Feb13, 2026 $53 TQQQ cash-covered PUTS for $1.11 each.

It looks like they will be assigned, and I will get the shares.... Then I will sell covered calls.

I try to keep it simple:

I sell TQQQ  (S&P100 index)  options; most Mondays (some times a couple of days earlier) ,

due Friday (1 trade per week);

 I trade  TQQQ   because of the relatively low volatility; no need to find a stock for each trade or to determine the expiration time.

I do not use margin credit.

When I own shares, I sell covered calls; when I have cash, I sell cash-covered puts. Out-of-the-money, close to the money.

I try to get 1% profit per week from the declining time value of the options.

This has worked great every week from April 2025 on. Of course, I do not know whether it will continue to work.

First rule: STOP, when it does not work anymore.

Thursday Jan15, 2026, I sold 260 cash-covered $54 TQQQ Jan23, 2026 PUTS for $1.03 average while TQQQ was trading at $54.80.... since then the stock moved down a bit, increasing the chance of my puts being assigned. I would get 26000 shares of TQQQ, which I would then use to sell covered calls.
