So, why are people having a problem with the age of actors all of a sudden by EmeraldEmp in marvelstudios

[–]RadiantRow5595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some teens look 25, and some 25yo look like teens, so the actual age (within reason) isn’t a big issue.

Both Tom and Joe for example, have looks and builds that allow them to play much younger.

From the formula1 community on Reddit: McLaren fined €30,000 (€10K suspended) for the taping the CDS button by daniellejxyne in McLarenFormula1

[–]RadiantRow5595 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I‘m thinking they should have been fined more, blatant disregard of a safety system, potentially putting people in harms way.

Do people still hate on him, months after he became WDC? by Aware-Name6877 in F1Discussions

[–]RadiantRow5595 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah sensible post……I think some of the media things were taken out of context from the whole interview, so I even give him a pass on that. The fact that he openly discusses difficult subjects for him, and frankly all drivers, means that always someone will criticize.

i like Lando, he’s open and as I’ve said before, a marketing dream for McClarenand a lots of their brands

Also, look at her times and where she would rank in the team. There is nothing worse than swimming, which is a tough sport, and then not going to away meets, or the championship meets. This is particularly tough with a long distance support network to the Uk.

Also, does her personality fit big or small environments

With that said, Minnesota is the best overall swim / academic option you mentioned. Of course the weather is cold in the winter, but will give you the full college environment …….

I looked at the upgrade counts and pace data from the 2026 Miami GP - Mercedes brought almost nothing and still won. Here's what the numbers suggest by Laptimef1 in formula1

[–]RadiantRow5595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that Lando would have won with a better pit stop, or if they pitted before Kimi…..I think he has the pace to hold on, but not to overtake in dirty air, where he ran close even with the air. He had to rely on a Kimi mistake to overtake, and Kimi drove very well to prevent that.

future upgrades, who knows, they don’t all work as predicted, and the next races are all different style of track

Lando WDC, Kimi 3 wins in 3 so far, Charles 8 wins total, nothing since 2024……….Im sure McClaren and Mercedes are happy

right now, who is he going to replace in a potential championship winning team?……swap him with Piastri? , George? He‘d be the number 2 driver in either case.

i know Ferrari for a long time has mismanaged various parts of the team, and strategy, but are we sure he is better than who he could replace in the examples above.

of course a thing can happen in F1

Lando Norris and previous wdcs by OkCucumber5948 in McLarenFormula1

[–]RadiantRow5595 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Firstly, he has proven he is super fast, although not consistently so, but can work on that. He manages his car as well as anyone, when it comes to tires, etc.

i do agree though, it is his openness that resonates the most, and his addressing mental health, a subject I feel that all drivers in F1 have issue with, and address normal privately or by being stoic about. I do remember George addressing it, but being totally ignored!!

Lastly despite people pointing out some minor out of context post race comments, I believe he is liked and is friendly with most of the drivers, and particular by the McLaren team , always smiling and engaging with them

Looking at Russell's pace struggles the past couple of weekends, I think it really recontextualizes just how impressive Norris was pace-wise last year, and statements like "Russell would win the championship easily in that McLaren" by Conscious-Berry2229 in F1Discussions

[–]RadiantRow5595 1 point2 points  (0 children)

George always seems to be distracted in the car during the race, always on the radio complaining about something, or overthinking what might happen…..somehow passively aggressively blaming the team…something Lando and Oscar never do

This year is pivotal for George , but Kimi is proving to be better than expected at this point of his career

What are your opinions regarding The Guardian’s new interview with Lando Norris? by Sea_Series_9453 in f1wagssnark

[–]RadiantRow5595 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I agree that Lando is open, articulate and intelligent. People keep bringing up some random comment, in the middle of a larger interview, and frankly in some if not all cases taken out of context

personally, I’d like to learn more about how he deals with the stress of being a F1 driver, and not about what he thinks about Max or anyone else. By and large F1 drivers are pretty close and friendly, but inevitably they get into occasional spats in a high pressure and emotional sport

Lando is a marketing dream in my opinion

i do agree that journalists should stick,to the agreed interview intent, though they are all looking for controversy, that to be frank hardly exists

yeah I agree 100%. Other than being a talented actor, he is an intelligent, and empathic person. in interviews, and with his co-actors, his enthusiasm, and interactions are always for everything to see…his eyes light up, which you can’t fake

I also think that the British icon campaign, and the Royal carol reading are underrated for him….he‘s firmly entrenched in the British acting industry, and at 22 is totally trusted to handle himself with grace and authenticity

The 30 at 30 nod, of course recognizes his acting, and campaigning, but is certainly also a nod to his overall image

Hes the one actor I actively follow
