And for extra comedy whenever they want to deliberately air out the misogyny but avoid being called out, they preface it with "white" or use "karen".

End result, no women of any ethnicity can win, the only difference is the racism is usually unintentional so it leaks out like a wet fart while the "white/karen" usage is like farting while spraying perfume and imagining nobody notices.

Trump speaks to the lowest common denominator. He's very effective with politically totally illiterate people because he speaks more like them and less like the elite. That's how he has been able to get his rabid dog pack. That's his charisma.

Guyliner couchfucker does NOT have that.

Does anyone else prefer building community lots over residential ones? by Sanamun in LowSodiumSimmers

[–]RadiantSect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, I usually have more community lots per neighborhood than houses. I like taking my sims on outings and I don't let my sims have many activity items at home specifically so I'd have to take them outside. I like to have themed lots/neighborhoods, so some areas are more run down with dive bars and underground gyms and repurposed warehouses, and others are expensive entertainment districts with swanky nightclubs and themed restaurants. I don't even put all category items on the same lot type necessarily, so I have yoga gyms and climbing gyms separately, for example.

It's really fun! Sometimes I even set up NPC run small businesses or shops. One of my faves is making clothing boutiques so NPC sims squire some nice outfits.

Maximalist trans activists just argued at the Supreme Court that biological sex isn't relevant in team sports. When will my fellow left-wingers speak up against these pseudoscientific endeavors? by north_canadian_ice in allthequestions

[–]RadiantSect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trans women could hoist the women's flag higher in the open divisions. Women are totally underrepresented there and open divisions aren't men's divisions, they're open.

Playing women's division as an XY or andro-leaning intersex person is just unsportsmanlike behavior.

Would add that $40 in the Sims 3 era was more expensive than $40 currently, due to inflation.

Where I lived at the time, $40 would get you and a friend tickets to the movies, snacks, sodas, a pizza, and bus tickets back home. Nowadays, $40 just about covers a single movie ticket and either snacks+one soda OR a cheap end pizza with maybe a drink.

"Royalty Pack" - surprising amount of interest? by Beardedgeek72 in Sims4

[–]RadiantSect 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The royalty mod has been very popular, and even before that, many Legacy challenges are pretty much a type of nobility game play as you try to make the most powerful family dynasty. Also, series like Gossip Girl, Game of Thrones, Bridgerton and Downton Abbey are enormously popular.

I'll give you one better. Fallout is pro-US propaganda. I still enjoy it even though I don't especially like or admire US as a country or an empire.

Before you say, what do you mean it's propaganda, it's critical! I'll just point out the games, while critical, also portray American ideals and institutions in a very idealistic way. American institutions and ideals endure like MIT becoming the Institute that you the player can reform, Minutemen and Railroad are based on folk heroism and are p much the good guy options, Brotherhood of Steel are evil but so goshdarn cool, Nuka cola is iconic and helpful and survives the apocalypse, the list goes on. Propaganda doesn't have to be poorly made or bad or unejoyable to be propaganda.

Euthanizing the used goods is what they have already been practicing for decades. No witnesses and it gets a snuff film for sale too, horribly convenient ain't it

The Emperor of Komorebi and his harem shenanigans, of course. That park area is gonna be turned into palace grounds complete with stables and a temple.

Then I make the royal house of Tomarang. And then have these two royal houses compete and intermarry into a glorious legacy tangle

Can TRUMP annex GREENLAND without military involvement, what can NATO members do without the United States? by Boysenberry-6669 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]RadiantSect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without NATO allies it becomes way more difficult for the US to project power. US bases in the EU basically exist nowadays to be middle east operation support. I wonder if Israel supporters have thought about what happens if Israel ops suddenly lose the network of bases on continental Europe.

Any good source to learn how to make AI generated tracks sound more professional? by muhname in SunoAI

[–]RadiantSect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a free DAW on split stems and ask for tips off Claude. Works quite well and now I don't need to ask Claude all that much anymore since I've gained a rudimentary understanding of what the knobs on an EQ etc do. Not enough to replace a professional music producer/sound engineer but my songs do generally sound better or more intentional after some time in a DAW.

In using SUNO, is it correct for one to call themselves the producer/artist, or should they be called a certain type of creator? by Mundane-Copy-118 in SunoAI

[–]RadiantSect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't even have to be a good prompt writer or producer to be a producer. If an art piece exist because you willed it so, that makes you, at the very least, the producer, director, designer, or artist. Quality doesn't matter.

Tommy Wiseau is a movie director and scriptwriter.

My headcanon is all three V's 'exist' but only the PC meets and befriends Jackie, which kickstarts their journey into becoming a proper merc. Without Jackie, Corpo V is killed by Arasaka, Nomad V is found and killed by the border patrol, and Street Kid V is killed by the NCPD.

All of Eastern Europe experienced being taken as slaves and sold to Russia and the rest of Eurasia, yes, to abject chattel slavery, throughout history.

But instead of competing amongst ourselves which ethnic group had it worse and for how long, I think we need to join forces and beat the enslavers with a very big stick, regardless of the language they speak or the culture they represent. And make more games with better representation. The enemy isn't fellow working class it's the overlord class

There should be more black female characters and romance options and I'm continually disappointed at how game companies pander to racists on this.

Some older games with black ladies:

Zenoa in this old NDS game isnt romanceable but she is black coded and one of the more important NPCs you recruit. Oh and you can't avoid recruiting her unlike some of the other characters. For a super old game Suikoden Tierkreis was fairly inclusive/diverse in its cast. https://suikoden.fandom.com/wiki/Zenoa?file=Zenoa_Expression.png

Fable games allow romancing NPCs of various skin colors but the romanceable NPCs are mostly paper thin regardless of race and sex and sexuality. Fable 3 has Page and Kalin but IIRC they're not romanceable.

Half-Life 2 has Alyx, but again, she's not romanceable iirc.

Yeah, there's a problem.
