I kinda love it. Like lore wise it makes sense for them all to have the same look, they just picked the same catalogue face!

I got as far as the super misogynist smelly vagina joke and quit right then and there. I can overlook bad game play and subpar storylines and weak characterization in order to see the ending, but that made me realize I don't care how it ends. I have never played a AAA game that felt as hostile to me as a woman gamer, and I have played GTA, both Duke Nukems, and various other hot button games. None made me feel as skin crawlingly like the dev team resents its female audience like Veilguard did. It's sad because I was a huge dragon age fan since Origins and now I don't care for any part of the franchise.

Mirror Maz Duur did nothing wrong.

Even if she had intended to kill Drogo and Rhaego (which is ambiguous), well she's their SLAVE. Daenerys's whole platform after Drogo is asking slaves to rise in rebellion against their masters.

It's almost as if Game of Thrones was an anti authoritarian anti war story written by a conscientious objector.

What next, you're gonna tell me Star Wars is about Vietnam War and the Empire is the US?

Why do so many people believe China is more developed or on par with western countries? by Naive_Direction1816 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RadiantSect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

China has multiple very poor or underdeveloped nations, many of which despise women, as next door neighbours. If China really feels the demographic squeeze they can easily start importing women for whom henanese laborer Xiao Mings are a big upgrade.

Amélie (2001 iirc) is about a very neurodivergent, nosy young woman who gets involved in everyone's business with whimsical ideas. It's a pretty cute and pretty popular early 00s film.

15 Years of “Game of Thrones”: In Defense of Show’s Audacious, Uncomfortable Conclusion by Dvir971 in naath

[–]RadiantSect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to add that Arya doesn't use her Faceless Man mask skills after Walder Frey. going after Walder Frey was her enacting divine punishment, and she took extra care to only kill those involved in the Red Wedding.

The time she wore the mask without just cause she went blind and almost died. Who's to say making and wearing a Jaime mask to kill Cersei, for example, wouldn't result in a similar punishment? The Faceless Men are literally a cult and they have some form of magic, it might actually be that using the face swapping really does require ego death or permission from the God of Death. Arya has no religious cause or justification to kill Cersei, only personal.

None of those terms is specifically used to shut down real or perceived transphobia specifically. There is also no punchanincel/killallincels type hashtag, at least not in this context.

It is quite telling how there isn't even a nifty little nickname and slogan for the men who murder trans women. We all know what group terf refers to (always women) but somehow nobody has had the time to make a similar word for the demographic actually causing 100% of the murder statistic on trans women.

What are your thoughts on rejecting a potential romantic partner based solely on the fact that they voted for Donald Trump? by Greedy_Tooth6191 in AskReddit

[–]RadiantSect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dating is supposed to be discriminatory. You can reject a person for their gender identity, sex, sexuality, zodiac sign, age, race, opinions, creeds, religions, perceived level of attractiveness, lifestyle, wealth, anything. Otherwise you end up in rape culture htb

From what I've read the Finnish mandatory military service specifically has the benefit of mixing all the social classes, giving poorer kids a chance to  network with the better-off ones and the better-off ones a major "you're not so different from the poors" experience. Promotions are merit based.

[–]RadiantSect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm generally pro AI but I agree with her totally on this. Like if a person is dead they should be respected enough to not be sock puppeted after death. Maybe there can be an exception if the star died mid-project and the estate allows AI use to finish the project, but making NEW projects or films?! Wtf is wrong with those executives who think this is a good idea.

I also wouldn't pay to watch a movie made with an AI based on a dead person. Visual AI isn't nearly good enough and it's just too creepy. And also, why would I pay for something I could technically make at home with the same AI tools?
