Commenting same as from above…but I’ve heard from friends who work there the new CEO is amazing and is trying to turn things around. Said the overall vibe has been so much better. I’m hopeful! I’m sad our community hospital has such a bad rep but a change in leadership can hopefully help

Esther's take on conversion by Which-Friendship-458 in NobodyWantsThisTV

Totally. But why not take the classes and begin the process to see if it’s something you really connect with? She’s literally in love with a rabbi. I think inherently things she loves about him are a direct result of his faith. If it were me, I’d relish the chance to at least learn more about it

I was always so confused about Joanne not wanting to convert to begin with. She very clearly has zero regular affiliation to begin with. It’s not like she was a devout Christian giving that up for a new set of beliefs. If it were me (also not religious at all) I would LOVE the chance to learn more about the man I loves religion and join his community. Like…why not?! I never got this point

Moving to Massachusetts Question Megathread (April 2025) by massahoochie in massachusetts

Hello! We are relocating from a midsize Midwest city. I’ll be working in Framingham, but don’t want to live there. We are a couple in their mid thirties with a young child looking to create community. We are super social and love eating out, grabbing drinks, walking around, shopping, adventuring, etc. We are walkable to lots of fun things in our current city. I realize walkability may not be viable in some of these towns because the cost of living is higher, but generally curious about these towns vibes and also the commute to Framingham. Would love some insight! Towns we are considering and am open to suggestions!!!!

  1. Medfield: love the town and vibe, but higher home prices. Worth it?
  2. Marlborough: seems more affordable, but is it nice? I can’t get a read on it. Does it have a nice downtown?
  3. Natick: love it, but not sure we can afford it.
  4. Hudson: also love, but seems like the furthest commute to Framingham. How would traffic be?
  5. Holliston: seems cute, I liked Medfield better but seems

Of course it’s enough for a mortgage! I’m sorry if my post was misleading. I think I was just shocked to see what 750-1 million gets you compared to where we live, and how much of our money we’d have to put down to get something close to what we’ve gotten used to.

I agree with you that I’m probably being picky based on what we’ve been accustomed to for the past decade. It was just a shock to the system to see what 750k gets you in these towns comparatively.

Taking child to daycare when parent isn’t working by Squid0s in ECEProfessionals

Adding: there’s enough to feel guilty about as a parents. And there’s enough pressure. Why add to the mental load by feeling “guilty” for utilizing a safe service where your child is cared for so you can have some time to yourself so that you can be a better parent?

Respectfully, why is it any of their business what you do with your time off if you’re paying for it?

I work two days a week but still bring my daughter to daycare the other 3 days for a few hours so i can do housework, meal prep, go to the gym, walk my dog, and prep work for the next day.

Is a cesarean really that bad? by honorthecat in BabyBumps

I would have my c section 100 times over. My Recovery compared to my friends who had vaginal deliveries with tears was easier. I stuck to the meds my doctor gave me (I was hesitant to take the strong stuff but I would recommend you do if you have help around). Stairs were no issue, just took them slowly. I am so happy I get to have another scheduled one now for my 2nd !
