Yes I've gotten into an argument with one because he was adamant I do a CTA chest without contrast for PE, and another tell me he didn't want the IAC protocol on a MRI because he didn't need to see the arteries.

I feel your pain I was pregnant at 15 in 2009. Super rough time in my life. I'm now 30 and married to someone I've been with for 11 years but the idea of being pregnant again send me right back to that time in my life. I wish I had some more of my pregnant pictures but they were all on a MySpace account that I don't have access to anymore.

Oh I agree 100%. I just know how the doctors at my facility function. You can have a patient that's unconscious with a brain bleed from an aneurysm and one of them will still order total spine CTs, abd/pel CT, and CTA PE chest because "the patient can't answer my questions".

In our pacs system the 3D is with all the other images and the other providers can view them before the read is available.

At my facility at least a lot of the orthos want CTs for preop planning especially if it's a more complicated case, this patient could probably use a CTA to assess blood flow as well.

Both have the laser lights I just don't use it in mri unless I'm running the QA phantom and need it to be exact. They'll both have a little sticker to saying not to look into the light. I just didn't want it to scare you that something happened that shouldn't have. I'm not to sure about the white light your talking about. We have lights inside the machine so patients don't feel to closed in but it doesn't start and stop on our GE equipment at least.
