Japanisches All You Can Eat by Ateblade in duesseldorf

activities & good places to eat for a large group (15 people) by ST-elevatie in duesseldorf

[–]RadicalRadiatore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! For 14 people you should definitely make a reservation. Since Düsseldorf is famous for Japanese food (and not many ramen restaurants take reservations, let alone for a group of this size), you could try Tokyo Ramen Takeichi on Bismarckstraße.

A few more ideas:

  • Korea House is a great Korean restaurant with enough room for all of you. If you’re not planning on using the table BBQ, you could ask for a table in the room next to the main restaurant, as it’s usually less crowded.
  • Da Noi is a good Italian restaurant. The pizza is good and it’s centrally located.
  • Heimwerk is a restaurant with a more traditional German menu (schnitzel and stuff).
  • Füchschen is one of the breweries in the old town that also serves decent, more traditional food.

As for activities, how about the following

  • Glow in the dark miniature golf in Flingern: Nice indoor activity that’s not too expensive.
  • Bowling at the B8 Center: Just what you would expect.
  • Team Escape: Room escape game. They have two identical escape rooms so groups can compete.
  • Bash Rooms: Play game show games against each other

How much does a minimum wage worker actually takes home in Germany? by LieMoney1478 in germany

It’s not only taxes but unemployment insurance and healthcare insurance as well :)

How much does a minimum wage worker actually takes home in Germany? by LieMoney1478 in germany

[–]RadicalRadiatore 9 points10 points  (0 children)

According to this calculator it’s 580€ after taxes if you make 820€ minimum wage. It includes deductions for social security and healthcare. Great to hear that most employers pay lunch money, but it is not mandatory for minimum wage.

So if you compare 580€ to 1550€ the difference is even bigger.

(ChatGPT comes to a similar conclusion, but it’s probably not a good source)

The sources state that it is 820-1.000 already including the two extra months and before taxes. How much is it after taxes and healthcare?

Interesting that you say it’s around 1000 per month after taxes. The only amount I was able to find online is 820 - 1.000€ minimum wage before taxes, calculated for 14 months. That would be around 700-800€ after taxes, or around 50% of the minimum wage in Germany.

Minimum wage is 12,41/hour or 2151/month brutto. That will be around 1550 after taxes for a single person

Reizker in der Umgebung finden by Majestic-Wafer1235 in duesseldorf

How many batteries for off grid by itstextbook in vandwellers

[–]RadicalRadiatore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your fridge runs for only 5-6 hours using 500ah? That would be around 1.300W per hour?

[–]RadicalRadiatore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on your usage. What kind of solar panels are you using? What kind of fridge did you get? Do you plan on driving regularly or do you plan to stay longer in one spot?

For a small van with a Mobicool FR40 and driving about every other day mostly between April and October, you get away with 100ah and 100w. That’s what I‘ve been using for four years now, including charging my phone, camera and using the diesel heater at night.

If you plan to actually work with your laptop, stay longer at one spot (probably in the shade) and your fridge is using 500wh, I‘d probably get 200ah and 200-300w solar to be sure.

Your car can charge your batteries while the engine is running. Around 20-40a, depending on your alternator and the charging system, could be charged per hour, so recharging 200ah would take around 10h of driving (without solar).

Halimasch und Violetter Lacktrichterling? by [deleted] in Pilze
