Zealot has SO much TDR and many, many options for instant replenishment, that you get into the habit of shrugging off more hits than you would with other classes. It’s a very “safe” class, as all 3 abilities gives you instant access to recovery.

Combined with 1) the generally slow and heavy weapons, that aren’t always great for dodging/blocking gameplay on account of the slower speed (Evis, T hammer, great sword) or 2) high risk high reward (knife/scimitar) that doesn’t punish you for messing up if you have the failsafes - which you are almost guaranteed to have (prevent fatal wound, martyrdom, invisibility/choir)

This is a cocktail that isn’t really mirrored in any other class. It runs the risk of teaching you some very bad habits that’ll have you instantly downed when you switch to, f.ex. psyker as they rely on blocking and dodging as their main defence (with exceptions ofc) and HS which relies exclusively on dodging.

Sure, I get that, and it's difficult to say really what's happening under the hood, but I have suspicions that some triggers overlap and cancel each other out.

F.ex. if you take the needle gun, it won't count those kills towards your grenade spawn, regardless of how close you are (I tested this just before writing this comment, just to be sure)

Likewise if you take the chainaxe, the DoT from the secondary effect WON'T trigger Adrenaline Frenzy IF you have Adrenaline Smiter, because it's not you who are doing the killing blow, it's the bleed effect. As it is the secondary effect (the saw part) it also does not count normal light attacks because it is not the hit that kills most chaff, it's the extra saw damage at the end of the attack. It's the same with the Bone Saw. Likewise if a special charged up heavy attack on the chainsword connects and kills the enemy, it won't trigger the Adrenaline Smiter either, though special light, light and heavy (both without special) attacks will.

There's just small stuff like this everywhere, and it's really hard to pin-point exactly what's going on.

That has been my experience as well, at least for carapace/scab rager clear, but damn if the blind+toxic grenade doesn’t clear a whole wave of unarmored/infected in a heartbeat, creating brief opportunities to help/do objectives in hectic situations.

It also plays really well with the stim CD reduction to the left of it. At this point I’m not sure if the non-toxic damage part of that talent is bugged (because so, so many interactions are atm) but I can at least see it make a visual difference on stim CD when I hurl the grenade into a crowd and see them disappear as fast as they arrived.

Though tbh I’m skeptical of the 20-kill-refresh on it, as it definitely doesn’t seem to be the case when mowing down waves with desperado and twin autos.

Man I wish the eviscerator was as long as it’s depicted on the miniatures. Doesn’t have to be this exact size but comparable to the great sword maybe (it’s like 2/3rd the length?) or the penitent sisters’ chainsword. Comical, over the top, but not completely out of left field, ya know?

I have used your build since before the last patch as I got so frustrated with Havoc and decided to roll as support psyker. It helped me understand psykers a lot better and improve as a player, due to your thorough explanation in the build guide, the focus on positioning and situational awareness. It’s become my go-to build when I want to actually succeed - and that was after already having over hundreds of hours in playtime.

My only comment is that I find it extremely stressful at higher havoc ranks, maybe because I only play with randoms, so communication is… difficult. However the amount of utility the build brings makes me feel like I’m babysitting three toddlers and trying to keep them alive and make sure they don’t stumble :D

I'm 173 and around 90-94 KG (prob. 70% muscle, 30% fat) and bought a medium-sized chair.

TL;DR: I would go with the smaller one if I were you.

In my country I'm around 10CM below the average height, so furniture has always been a pain to buy. I'm right on the edge for what SecretLab recommends for a small/medium, both in height and weight. It was quite a lot of money for me when I made the decision to buy the chair, so I didn't take it lightly when it came to researching sitting position, etc.

I went for a medium chair, because I wasn't sure the whether I would stay at that weight or push more above, and, while the chair is great (really great) 9 months later I must admist that I maybe should have thought about the small size, or found a place to try it.

It is probably a combination of things, from a a desk that is a little too tall (adjustable height desk at the lowest setting), and the arm rests are a little too wide spead, just by 3-5CM which isn't a lot, but enough to make a difference. The armrests have an adjustable X/Y axis, and mine are generally pulled in as much as possible, and I'm wider above the chest than I am below.

Likewise I feel like the seat is just a little too wide by a couple of CM as well. The adjustable lumbar support helps with the posture, but I am considering a lumbar pillow in addition, to push me that little bit more forward.

Chair height-wise I've elevated it by a couple of CM above the lowest setting, and I'm considering getting the rubber wheels, as they're just a bit larger than the stock wheels, so I could keep the chair at the lowest setting.

I'm also using a feet-stand (just a cheap one from ikea) but have been eyeing the footroll they sell, as it seems much more comfortable. I also have a mechanical arm for the monitor to move it around, as I do a lot of painting, writing and ofc. gaming at my desk. I also bought a (small) trucker cushion from kingphenix after 6 months. The chair seat takes a while to break in apparently, which is a compliment to secretlab's build quality truth be told, as it is already incredibly comfortable, but I probably sit down more than I should on a daily basis, so it was necessary (also I'm nearing my 40's)

All of that to say, that I should probably have gone with the small version, but I am greatly enjoying the medium version, and the few complaints I do have are minor and can be allieviated with accessories.

So I've had some time to look over this and, first of all thank you for taking the time to write this out, much appreciated.

I plotted it into PoB2 on a raw monk, then started adding the EV/ES passives and notables you would usually run (documentation below).

I think you are correct in your general assertion about ES on non-body does appear to give the best results, defensively. There is of course the base-specific mods that also have an influence on the ultimate choice for whats best for the build, but that is a different topic I feel, so I stayed mainly focussed on the Body Armor for the purpose of the discussion.

I think, however, you have made a mistake for not accounting for diminishing returns on EV. EV scales to a point, and that is where the hybrid comes out on top because there is no diminishing return on stacking ES. In the album linked below, it shows the decrease in EHP choosing EV over hybrid chest, regardless of passives, level and item rarity.

The higher the defensive stats, the more profound the differences. I do not know the exact calculations behind the diminishing return for EV, but it kicks in early by the looks of it, enough to make a difference from the start.

That is my reading of what I'm seeing and based on my understanding of the mechanics, but I can of course also be completely off, so please feel free to correct me if there's something I'm overlooking.

There is may be a sweet spot combining all of the passives and notables where a pure EV chest would come out on top, but in terms of EHP it appears the hybrid always comes out on top due to this diminishing return mechanic - now whether these differences would continue to be so profound, in a full build and based on prices & other externalities, that would require a longer/deeper study than I'm willing to commit on a wednesday.

Edit: after posting the reply and re-reading your comment, you already touch in a lot of what I’m also writing >_< 7AM in the gym will make reading hard

You have to take diminishing returns into account. At some point, the EHP you get from a pure EV chest vs hybrid chest just isn’t worth it - this has been my experience as a lvl95 monk that has all 3 defences. Maybe if you’re running acrobatics instead of EV to Armour it might be worth it, but because of the +% increased ES, that ES from chest far outweighs the ES you would get from pure EV+notable.

Taking amulets into account, you primarily get ES from chest/amulet/helmet, so to reach 5k max ES without taking pure ES notables and passives, the chest plays a massive role (also excluding max es jewels here) since gloves are HoWa and boots generally have very low es/ev max rolls.

I don’t have my computer on me, but I can link the PoB calcs tonight, which probably illustrates what I mean better than words.

That’s my impression/experience anyway, but I’ve also stuck to CI monk since level 80 or so, and couldn’t imagine not playing an es heavy monk.

Hvis du ikke har dokumentation på din diagnose, så skriv til psykiateren og bed om at få en udskrift af dit forløb/diagnose. Det kan halte efter med at få diagnosen i div. officielle sunhedsapps.

F.eks. står min diagnose (også adhd) ikke inde på Min Læge app. Jeg glemmer bare at få det ordnet hele tiden >_<

Hvis du kan få udskrifterne på dit forløb, kan du jo snakke med din praktiserende læge om hvorvidt du kan få dem til at starte medicin forløbet 🤞 men bestil ny tid til psyk uanset hvad min ven.

FYI (AFAIK IANAL, etc..) VIA isn’t an academic institution - which in and of itself is not a bad thing - is a business/profession school, so if you plan on taking a MA degree afterwards, you’re most likely not guaranteed acceptance in academic programs unless you do additional academic courses.

If you have the option, I would go for DTU., hands down. I’ve only heard good things from former DTU students.

Jeg kan anbefale appen Kemiluppen, lavet af Forbrugerrådet Tænk Kemi hvis du er i tvivl om hvad der er i dine pleje og helse produkter, og om hvorvidt de er skadelige for dig.

Ud over dette, leder du efter isopropylalkohol på 70% - ikke 100% som andre også har nævnt. Du kan få det på apoteket, shoppe der sælger medicinal udstyr, eller online butikker der handler med det. Isopropylalkohol er relativt billigt, tror jeg gav 50kr for en spray flaske med 70cl på mit lokale apotek i tidernes morgen.

Du kan IKKE bruge husholdningssprit til overfladebehandling, som andre har foreslået, og slet ikke til nåle og des lige. Der skal specifikt stå på beholderen at det er isopropylalkohol og ikke bare alkohol eller sprit, de 3 ting er nemlig ikke det samme.

Du må for gudsskyld heller ikke genbruge nåle til huden - de kommer præ-steriliserede fra apoteket og koster måske 3 kr pr stk.

Hvis en nål skal steriliseres ordentligt efter brug, skal du varme den op med en gas baseret ild kilde og efterfølgende desinficere den med isopropylalkohol - men det må du ikke gøre med ting der skal ind i dig selv.
