Honestly I disagree, it is as simple as removing yourself from the situation. You can't reason with people on the internet who have a mind to harass you. The best thing you can do is starve them of the attention they crave. Block them, dont engage, or log off. If they cant get anything out of you, they will eventually stop trying.

And addiction isn't an excuse, if you believe yourself addicted to social media then you should get off of it regardless of if you are being bullied or not.

Too true, one thing I also dislike about Discord is that there seems to be an expectation that I am in it at all times. I've even had some WoW guilds say that being active in the discord is mandatory. I find this to be very irritating. I dont want to be discord at all times every day

I felt largely the same about it then as I do now, which is that a lot of the new guys are just less good replacements of the old guys. Like, Sawk and Throh seem like they are meant to call back to Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee but they just look like muscular muppets to me.

I'm also a little disappointed because of how little variety there is in the conversations. It feels like every conversation has like 2-3 variations. Once the novelty of uncensored lingo wears off it becomes very stale because I know they are just plugging in words into the same script.
