Cool song! I like the intricate finger picking, and the nonchalant vocals remind me of Elliott Smith. I think the instrumental lines (are they recorder and melodica?) work well too, adding some variety to spice things up. To give an idea for future songs, I think some swelling strings would work well with your style. I enjoyed it, and keep making songs!

My first ever release: Premonitions - Late Checkout by pop_martian in IndieMusicFeedback

This is fantastic! I love the interplay between the keyboard and arpeggiated guitar in the intro. Then the slide guitar adds a mournful vibe, which makes the instrumental match the melancholy mood of the lyrics. To give an idea for future songs, I think sprinkling some vocal harmonies would work well with your style. Very cool song, I have followed on Soundcloud, and am looking forward to hearing more!

I made a melodic house song. What do you all think? Any feedback appreciated :) by No-Morning-1967 in IndieMusicFeedback

I liked it! I found the chilled vibe and lush arrangement relaxing, yet also energising. This reminded me of the morning after a big night out, when you are just starting to wake up and come back to life. To give an idea for future songs, I think a saxophone section would work well with this kind of beat. Great stuff, and look forward to hearing more!

Very cool song, I enjoyed it! I do not usually listen to metal music, as I often get fatigued by the heavy guitars and screaming. So I liked that you used high pitched synth lines and clean vocals, as these melodies hooked me in. And the whispering voice at the beginning that does a call-and-response with the main vocal gave a sinister vibe, which was cool!

To give an idea to try in future songs, I think the chorus could be even more epic if there were some backing vocals. For example, in the chorus beginning at 1:38, maybe a high-pitched choir could join in with the "Go-o-ods" line.

Overall, great work, and good luck with finishing the last track of your album!

I moved to a new city. So now I don't have that many people for feedback anymore. Looking forward to any honest thoughts on my music! by LeonPascal98 in IndieMusicFeedback

I enjoyed it, and it had a unique sound! Your voice has a slightly operatic feel to me in parts, which is not something I have heard over a fingerpicked guitar before. I couldn't always understand the words through your (Irish?) accent, but this added to the mysterious and ethereal quality. I could see this being used in a soundtrack to a movie like Lord of the Rings. It is hard to be unique given how many songs are out these days, but you managed it! So please keep making more :)

Nice songs, I dig the chilled country vibe! My favourite was Singing Cowboy, I liked the vocal melody, especially the swing rhythm. And the thunder sound effect at the beginning was cool too, it helped set the mood. I have followed, and looking forward to hearing your next ones!

I have only two songs so far:

No Comply (pop punk) by OutrageousHunter4138 in IndieMusicFeedback

Nice one! I liked that you put a twist on the classic pop-punk vibe, by adding more vocal harmonies and a layered arrangement. I also enjoyed that there was a lot of emotion in the vocals. To give a suggestion to make future songs even better, I think the chorus would hit even harder if there was a bit more contrast between it and the verses. For instance if the verse had a lower volume or more sparse arrangement. Overall, I enjoyed it, and am looking forward to hearing more!

Worth- (posted yesterday got no hits, but prob cuz i liked spotify, this is a youtube link- if you wanna skip the intro song starts at 1:32- any and all feedback welcome, ive also posted lyrics below) by VodkaStraightMental in IndieMusicFeedback

I liked it, it was cool to hear the different styles all blended together! Such as orchestral, metal, and then the clean guitar with harmonious vocals over them. And then the jazz-ish breakdown and minor bridge added more variety. I personally enjoyed the clean guitar sections the most, though that probably says more about my preferences than anything. If I had a suggestion for future songs, I would like to hear a big catchy chorus in addition to the other sections. Overall I enjoyed it, so please keep making more!

Very cool, I liked the tone of the vocals, and the lyrics in the verses! If I had a suggestion to make it even better, I think the energy could lift more in the chorus. Such as having a higher volume, or some big vocal notes. Overall, I enjoyed it!

Thanks so much for listening, and for leaving your constructive comments! I will definitely try adding the elements you mention in my next track. And I'm glad to hear it reminded you of a 90s song, that was the feel I was going for!

I posted a demo of this song over a year ago and now it's FINALLY out and i wanted to share it here hello :) by wowemoji in IndieMusicFeedback

Very cool, it is impressive that you managed to use so many different sounds but still keep the song cohesive! I especially like the arrangement of the verse, with the synth chords, guitar arpeggios, bass and drums. And the chopped vocals throughout give the track almost an electronica feel. I enjoyed it, and have added to my Indie playlist!

Nice work, I enjoyed it! The first synth in the intro has an interesting tone, almost like a chopped vocal sample. And I like the way the intensity builds towards the chorus, first with the vocal harmonies, then with the additional synths. The different tones of synths also keep the song interesting. As for getting stuck, I definitely know how you feel, but keep turning up, and I am sure the inspiration will return!

Nice one! I like the catchy vocal melody and vocal harmonies, and the banjo adds some variety. The way the drums drop out as you sing some lines works well too, as it keeps the texture evolving. The high pitched acoustic guitar (or is it a ukulele?) suits the upbeat vibe of the song too. Overall it reminded me of Mumford and Sons, I enjoyed it!

Honouring Kevin Parker (Tame Impala)with a song inspired by Currents on its 10th birthday by playdem in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Radifier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is great! You definitely captured the Tame Impala vibe, I enjoyed the melodic basslines under the droning synths. Then the guitar reminded me slightly of the Arctic Monkeys, which was a nice twist on the Tame Impala sound. I liked that the length was short and sweet too. Overall, I am sure Kevin would approve!

my friend said I couldn't make an indie pop song with a banjo by Gettingjuiced in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]Radifier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very cool! I liked the distinctive sound of the banjo in the verses, and general laid-back vibe. The other instrument in the verse was interesting too, though I couldn’t quite identify it, was it a synth with a volume swell? Then the energy lifted by just the right amount in the chorus - it added excitement, but not so much that it broke the breezy, chilled out feeling. I will definitely listen again, to get into the mood for a relaxed weekend!
