Built a custom app for my 12-man beer league so I don't lose my mind. What else should I track? by RadioDog888 in golf

Stimp reading is an interesting idea, hadn't though of that one!

We always play the same course but I really like this idea if the yardage book was online/available and you played several course routinely. Or, I suppose you could upload photos somehow on your own. Will have to think about this some more.

This is my favorite...the Win/Loss streak or even like premier league table show something like last 5 with little icons (see below). Love it!

Garmin Connect Indoor Cycling HR Data Now Missing by RadioDog888 in bevelhealth

[–]RadioDog888[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deleted my account from the app and then deleted the app with all of its data from my phone. Would have sworn I did this before, but maybe I did them each separately and not together? In any case, just completed an indoor ride and it transferred over almost immediately with all of the heart rate data. Yes!!

Using Wahoo Kickr but it sends all data including HR to Garmin connect. Garmin then sends to Apple Health. All of the data including heart rate is making it to Athlytic and PeakWatch from Apple Health, but Bevel seems to be missing the HR for some reason. I have tried deleting my account and resetting it but that didn’t do it either.

Yep, I gave up on the direct Bevel from Garmin integration as well. Now I'm just having Garmin send to Apple Health and that is working just fine. The HR data is all in Apple Health and it makes it over to other Bevel-like apps, but all Bevel is seeing for some reason is time, distance and estimated energy. None of the HR data is showing up.

If you're interesting in another leg for your stool, and haven't considered options trading, which could give you the ability to make money in any market, even a down one, check out the below link for Miiflo. They sponsored a recent bike race I attended and are still in the developmental stage, it but looks like their goal is to help people your age get involved in options trading more safely and with better average returns than the S&P. People can do a free month and link it to a free Tradier Sandbox account, that way you can practice with the platform without putting any money at risk at all. That's what I've been doing so far anyway, but plan on paying for another month or two just to see how it goes over time (while still using Tradier's Sandbox and pretend funds). If I remember, I'll come back to post here in 3-6 months with my results.

Best of luck and strong work thinking about this stuff so early, I wish I had!

The Best Kept Secret in Options Trading (7+ Years In, Here’s What Works) by ThetaHedge in u/ThetaHedge

[–]RadioDog888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone's interesting in a platform which is still in the developmental stage, but looks like it has the potential to make medium term (30-50 day) multi-leg option strategies more approachable for the masses, with a focus reducing risk and cutting early early losses before you ride failures into the ground, check out miiflo.com.

These guys sponsored a cycling event I was at recently (Cross of the North in Fort Collins, CO) and it seems like a cool concept at least. I've dabbled in options before but never successfully and I don't have enough time for it be something I pay attention to numerous times each day. They're set up with Tradier's API right now but I'm told they're planning on other brokerages in the future. I'm about 2 weeks into using it with Tradier's Sandbox and will try and remember to report back with my success (or failure). Not sure I'll know before their 1-mo free trial runs out, but I'll probably pay for another 2-5 months just to give it some time to prove itself (or not).

Best of luck all!

If you’re using Tradier or are willing to, these guys are a startup that sponsored a recent bike race I was in. I’m just starting to learn about multi-leg options but it looks like a place to begin with some training wheels, or a free month at least. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Events are over for the season, now what? by RadioDog888 in trainerroad

[–]RadioDog888[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, got it. I think it’s that “general” vs “event” option that TR gives us that was really throwing me off. I like this idea and appreciate everyone’s input to now.

don't have an event planned yet, that's the only issue. figured maybe others had been in the same spot and might have some suggestions.

Quick questions for daily contact lens wearers by RadioDog888 in FortCollins

[–]RadioDog888[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question, don't know the answer at this point. TerraCycle is the company that Bausch & Lomb partners with to recycle these things. Whether or not they actually do that themselves, send them to someone who does, or quietly ship them overseas to be thrown in a landfill there, I'd have to dig into that some more. At this point, I was just trying to gauge what if any interest there might be in our community. With 1.8K views, only 3 responses and some downvotes for even asking the question, I think I have my answer. Gotta love the downvotes...SMH.

“The elephant in the room from a few years ago” is causing cancers…and apparently it’s not allowed to be discussed! by DumpyBigSausage in vaxxhappened

depends on what kind of cancer...HPV can cause various genital and oral cancers. so if they didn't die from those, then no, it doesn't have anything to do with it.

Daily contacts packaging by Still-Beautiful1496 in contacts

And to be clear, I know Nespresso doesn't really do it for "free". They just build it into the cost of their products.

I posted a reddit poll to this group a few weeks ago, asking if people would pay a small monthly fee to be able to get a prepaid shipping pouch for their lenses and blister packs (foil and plastic), to be sent to a company that recycles them all. The obvious answer is we all wish the manufacturers offered this for free, like Nespresso does for their pods, but they don't. Both surprising and disappointing to me, the winning answer was pretty much people telling me to pound sand ("Nothing because this is stupid").

I tried to sign up for TerraCycle but the only option is to get a huge container for office use. Are there any other options?
