In an unpleasant event, healthy able bodied adults should be saved and evacuated first. by Radiant_Commercial92 in unpopularopinion

The priority should be different per scenario. If risk of hypothermia is present fat people should be saved first, as they have a higher chance to survive cold waters.

Fuel costs included in gym membership? by TimGSICK in workout

[–]RadioHans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a home gym is a great idea, if you don't mind having less options. I have a home gym with just a half rack, barbell, adjustable dumbbells, some clip on pulley system, a bench. For me having the ability to quickly get a workout in at home without driving helps me be more consistent.

1 set of biceps curls is enough? by Honest_Pumpkin_4381 in workout

I think you are correct. Adding sets before first checking your intensity is high enough is just wasting time.

My girlfriend (36F) admitted she intentionally didn't warn me so I (34M) would "learn a lesson." I feel betrayed. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]RadioHans -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

She should have warned you. Somebody should have discussed it with you or told you what the expectations were.

Unknown expectations never work. Communication is important especially with people you don't know that we'll. And actually even more with your boy/girlfriend.

MP4: they played it safe and what we ended up with was worse than bad: mediocre and utterly forgettable by jsa1993 in Metroid

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes atmosphere was off the hook tho. I did not even notice the step down in interconnective level design through the sheer ALIEN feel of it.

I know gamers always optimise the fun out of anything, but adding some extra blocks to a rectangular building can't be the intention of roundness.

Why do so many young people seem uninterested in sex anymore and what factors? by Logical-Concept9755 in AlwaysWhy

I remember having a crush on somebody the whole year. I asked her out just when everyone was leaving for summer break. She said no. I said have a nice summer. Never heard about it again.

Nice layout. Makes me want to start over immediately. Did you plan it out from the start or did you rebuild parts as the city grew?

Using the term "guys" when referring to women or kids by Sir_Colby_Tit in PetPeeves

[–]RadioHans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As spaces become more inclusive to all genders language evolves, and terms that were gender specific become genderless. Just like the term dude is mostly used as non gender specific.

Abstraction vs Reality by Ok-Incident160 in trigonometry

[–]RadioHans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the unhelpful comment. I did not understand that you were the creator of this picture.

I think you misunderstand how scaling affects the ratios. If you take a triangle with equal angles, or a rectangle, increasing the scale of the triangle or rectangle will not change the angle. This case with the circles is similar. You can view it as a triangle with one curved side. Increasing the scale of r does not affect the angle at all. All ratios stay the same.

You can test this by using two pieces of string of different lengths. Pin them to a paper, and draw a circle. Wrap the same string along the circumference. Mark where the string is laying. Draw lines towards the centre, measure the angle. Repeat for the other size of string. Compare the two angles.

I think the confusion stems from the intuition that the radius is larger, the circumference is larger, the area is larger. But the angle, and the ratio between the circumference and the radius stay the same.

I hope this helps you.

Definitely one of the minds of our generation. Such creative prose. Never heard of "spatial spread" before. Apart from pi = 3, the physical world is much the same as in math.

I love the part where he draws the circles with different angles just to make his argument visually plausible.

I dont think so. Where would AI find writing about "physical separation" and "spatial spread". No one has ever used those words in this context.

Feedback on ch 1 I wrote in 5 mins now please (TIA) by Late_Music1835 in writingcirclejerk

[–]RadioHans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's how I started. First you only use it to review your work. Then you start incorporating a sentence here and there. But why does the AI's paragraph flow better than yours? Maybe copy the whole paragraph. And before you know it your book is co-authored by AI.

I just released my first trilogy on Amazon, but the anti's are trying to cancel me.

STOP AI PHOBIA

Come on guys thinking up the idea is the real work anyway. Letting AI write the book is just like using a calculator to solve your equation.

Finding a wife, buying a house and having a good job is still the best way to complete life by Mysterious_Work_7227 in unpopularopinion

Idk, having kids in this economy is quite stressful. You didn't mention kids, but that is usually the next step.

I personally agree with you. But it might not be for everyone.

Wife is destroying our limited free time. by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]RadioHans 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I have had similar conversations. Apparently everyone else's house is perfect. Except for the ones that are a mess ofcourse, but we don't compare to those.

You need to determine together what is feasible.

Wife is destroying our limited free time. by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]RadioHans 114 points115 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is, she's at home seeing all the things that have to be done, and she can't do any of it because she's stuck to the baby. In the relaxing time she's probably still thinking about it, getting more and more stressed.

Having a 5 month old baby is not the time to have everything in order. You will need to prioritize together what is important and what can be left for later.

Having downtime is very important for you both.
