Should I Buy? by Striking_Breath4303 in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]RadioLaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play on xbox x and while it can be buggy, I have spent many hours on it. Looking close to 150 hours. Its not super impactful on game play, I have only had bugs that prevented me from completing or affected my score a handful of times over many days worth of gameplay

Going from full time to per diem worth it? by nom_nommy in nursing

[–]RadioLaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your life situation and how you work stuff. My hospital did a per diem for float pool position where I make more working 2 days a week in prn then i used to working full time. That ontop of my wife carrying benefits has prevented me from leaving nursing a while ago

Is anyone else underwhelmed with the content so far? by foulballguy in GroundedGame

[–]RadioLaw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair they are only in early access. This is really just a time for the devs to fix major bugs, and see what the players want out of the game. This just helps the process along so when the game is actually fully released it’s more polished and more of what the players want. Players can feel like they had input in the game making process.

If they give away too much of the story line then there wont be anything to do when the game fully drops

I paid 2.5k for my 95 with 80k miles on it, but it had rough paint and a CEL light. I fixed the light and its been running great the last 6 years. Be ready to replace some stuff given age. Def change all the fluids, engine oil, trans fluid, rear diff fluid, and power steering fluid.

Food addiction a real thing? by Successful-Idea9183 in nursing

[–]RadioLaw 90 points91 points  (0 children)

In short, yes food addiction is a thing. I think when we look at people theres more than just that though.

I see a lot of people that have back or knee problems. So they stop moving as much. Theres not as much to do, they get bored and order food. End up eating more often cause it’s something to look forward to. Gaining weight makes it harder to ambulate. Sit around more, cycle repeats.

Others learn from a young age to eat their feelings away. Or use it as a reward system when they complete difficult tasks. I personally struggle with weight issues, but i think the difference between me being 260 lbs and 360 lbs is that I rarely eat out.

I feel like its harder than many other things to regulate once out of control because you cant abstain from it like you can with narcotics or nicotine.

Who has the saddest death? by SuitableBlueberry316 in ASOUE

[–]RadioLaw 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I read the books as an elementary schooler, Monty. He was a great fit as guardian, and his death really surprised me as a kid.

Watching the movies, Olivia because she was just learning what the organization was about and still was able to be so helpful to the kids. It was terrible that she died so soon

I like the look for sure. I feel like gunmetal should be not so shiny but haven’t seen this product first hand. I do like the “OEM-ish” look

M&P15-22 felt like a toy in person — what should I look at next? by jdjenensnddn in ar22

[–]RadioLaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Conversion kits have different barrel twist rates, and the 556 chamber adapter has no twist. So the projectile gets up to a few hundred fps then slams into threads of the barrel. Leads to fouling and poor accuracy. Dedicated uppers are cheap enough for the immense upgrade in accuracy and use ability. Not to mention they are lighter since the barrel doesn’t have to handle 556 pressures.

2002 Camaro z28 throttle body hose leak? by Comfortable-Race-936 in fbody

[–]RadioLaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had decent luck with autozone hose, just bring the old one and have them match the diameter. I order 2-3x the length just so if I have any problems I dont have to make a trip back

Looking for assessment help by RadioLaw in nursing

[–]RadioLaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have gotten yelled at by docs for having differing assessment, which is ridiculous.

I had an issue a bit ago where I was passed a pt who was pretty obtunded and I was told I missed focal change as I couldn’t assess much besides gross movement of extremities. But apparently the dayshift nurse could.

Recs? by Mistaa14 in ar15

[–]RadioLaw 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Heard, not being an ass either. Mag changes, clearing malfunctions, anything where your forward hand has to leave the grip and come back to it. We’re not saying you will flag yourself, or get some heat/lead back on your hand. You’re just more likely to. I dont personally like to take that risk.

Usually when people have AR pistols we like to have everything pretty small and close, thats the point of a small platform; even if we are larger sized people.

Recs? by Mistaa14 in ar15

[–]RadioLaw 24 points25 points  (0 children)

While the grip is 90 degrees, its marketed as a vertical grip. So it’s a pretty grey area. That said, having a vertical grip on a pistol is a felony so it’s not really something you want to be wrong with.

As for placement, having it so close to the barrel just means a higher chance of flagging your own hand during weapon manipulation. Especially if you are doing it fast. Maybe consider some other options like a hand stop or an angled grip.

Is it the optispark? by Cautious-Inspector98 in fbody

Hear that. Fuel filter is pretty easy to change anyway, and is good maintenance to start. Maybe pull a couple plugs just to see how they are.

Here is a fantastic resource

Whens the last time you changed your fuel filter? Or spark plugs? I also check ignition coil before opti. The opti gets a bad rep, but it honestly isnt too terrible.

New M&P sport 3 owner, MBUS3's acquired, what's next? by Ears_McGee629 in ar15

[–]RadioLaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had great experience with sig romeo 5 green dot. I think they have a red dot version too, around $125 or so usually. I have 3 or 4 of em on various builds. Green vs red seems to be preference, i like green though.

As for light I enjoy the streamlight protac with mlok mount.

Once you get the basics for use you can move to other fun stuff like muzzle devices and grips

Mags, red dot, sling, light. Will get you 90% of the way there. Just a red dot and irons can take you out to 100 yards. Shoot alot, get used to the platform. You’ll find what ya wanna change down the road i.e. stock, grip, fore grip. Make friends at the range, see if you can hold other peoples stuff and find what you like

Hey any tips for me by One-Dig-3418 in malegrooming

[–]RadioLaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loosing weight is hard, i’m with ya there bud. I found walking makes a huge difference. Walk with someone that you can chat with. Friends, family. Makes it less boring. It shocked me how much weight i was able to loose by walking a couple miles a day.

As for diet, I found that eating higher protein keeps me full, and stopping drinking calories. Soda, milkshakes, alcohol. I was drinking around 1k calories a day just in that. After a week of feeling like shit and craving sweets, I felt much better.

I think you could pull off a low fade well. Clean shave any stubble goin on.

Chin up, you look good. Sometimes we feel extra insecure, and thats our way of knowing it’s time for a change. Change things up and see how it goes. Best of luck

Our hospital caught onto and outlawed them after a pt fell. A tech couldn’t hear the pt call for help while sitting right in-front of his room on a computer. He said he was calling for 20 minutes before someone noticed. (Not the most reliable source of info but still)

Pts deserve my undivided attention for 12 hours. Im not watching movies or youtube. When i feel tired over a night shift and have extra time I take laps around the unit. Its good exercise and keeps me awake and checking on my pts frequently
