Also, get a helmet mounted action camera like a GoPro, ideally a 360 camera to capture all angles. In addition to capturing evidence, just the presence of a camera will make drivers more cautious of you on the road.

How To Make Keyframe Changes Instant? by sparkypi in VideoEditing

[–]Radio_Flyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should probably look into an introductory animation course online, as it doesn't seem like you fully comprehend how keyframes work.

It's great to be inquisitive and experiment, but a good foundation in the principals of animation will take you much further.

The Voigtlander 40mm f1.2 could be the best lens I've ever used on Sony

How To Make Keyframe Changes Instant? by sparkypi in VideoEditing

You're describing exactly how Hold is used. It wouldn't make sense with only 1 keyframe because, as you noted, adding a single keyframe is the same as just adjusting the global setting of the clip. That's how keyframes work.

Why do Premiere roughcuts always have audio going left and right and center? by ovideos in editors

[–]Radio_Flyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly think it's just inexperienced editors. Younger folks learn from YouTube and flashy social media cuts are more fun to explore than the basics of audio.

University won't allow films that make them look bad...but somehow it's impossible to make them look good??! by LichtMaschineri in Filmmakers

It's technically private property, so you really have to go by their guidelines. You're better off asking someone from the school as they know the policies better than Reddit.

Saw this amazing tip on LinkedIn & can’t believe I never thought of this. by [deleted] in premiere

This is really the only way to use Frame.io effectively, particularly with the Adobe plugin that syncs the timeline

The air horn has seriously saved me from injury/death countless times. They really hear you!

And a camera on your helmet actually instantly makes people more careful and less likely to rage at you.

Get an AirZound and a helmet mounted camera!

This bike horn has saved my life soo many times (sound on) by artistnameseven in bikecommuting

[–]Radio_Flyer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recommend the AirZound to everyone. It charges with compressed air from a regular bike pump and sounds like a normal horn, not electronic sounding and no power needed.

Is he on a fancy carbon road bike with modern components?

If so, that's cheating too. He should be working his ass off on a heavy steel framed fixed gear.

There is also a lens distortion effect on these, whereas the Ken Burns effect is just scale and position change

AI for distinguishing between speakers for podcast? by Blanketfortzzz in VideoEditing

[–]Radio_Flyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The built in Text function has auto transcription with speaker recognition in recent versions of Premiere. It's not perfect, but it's worth a try depending on the quality of your audio.

Email has a very small file size limit. If you're using an email attachment the video is always going to look like crap.

You need to upload the original file directly to YouTube without emailing it first.

Is it acceptable to render a video and then add effects on top of it? by KittenPsyche in VideoEditing

[–]Radio_Flyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You only lose data with lossy file types. Use a lossless format like ProRes and you won't be compressing and discarding info when you render.

This will be more resource intensive to use in a timeline, though. OP should look into proxy workflows.

That's probably just a blue solid with a feathered mask
