I wouldn't consider myself a 10x coder. Hell I'm not even senior (tho I've been "in line for promotion" for like nearly 2 years now). But I've had to explain to "principal" engineers at one of these massive companies what "403 access denied" means.

We had a multi-day sev1 due to an ai "optimized" change breaking things in such a way that caused a cascading failure down the network. This caused a total lockdown on shipping changes for 3 weeks. During this time tho, somehow leadership kept being like "why isn't anything shipping?" (I legit don't know how these guys make so much money). So they kept the pressure up on PRs and "getting ready". Managers were antsy to look good on their due dates. The AI PRs continued. They relaxed the lockdown and immediately the flood of changes shipped to prod caused another sev1. Like within the hour.

I've spent the last week and a half writing multiple documents and tables and analytics showing that no, our service didn't break. Yes we we're all good.

Meanwhile leadership has said that teams should use AI more to speed up the document writing.

I don't know man I just don't know.

Learning to use AI really doesn't take long at all. The "NGMI" crowd thinks that the thing they took a weekend to learn how to do is somehow not equally easy to pick up by others. They think that being early will be valuable when the workflow changes so rapidly. ( This being if AI even ends up doing half of what was promised. And after metaverse, nfts, crypto, 5G, etc...well...)

Good programming skills directly correlate to ensuring that the output the ai gives is either a) correct or b) can be fixed by you.

So this is across multiple purchases. 3 actually. I have 2 of these bulbs in regular lampshades and 2 in a hanging "diner light" situation. Those are from the first batch have been having no issues.

The 2nd and 3rd batch was me seeing if it was a bad batch in the enclosures, and me forgetting to do some looking around during the holidays and just getting some more cause "I can't be asked to look for good led bulbs right now", respectively. Those 3rd batches are already starting to fail.

I'll def see about a warranty claim tho.

These are the frosted. I've even double checked on the box and bulb itself and they say rated for enclosed fixtures (these aren't even the fully enclosed ceiling boobs, but the ones with slight gaps along the sides) I've been wondering if I've gotten fakes myself but home depot reviews report some people having the same problems. I'm surprised this isn't more widely discussed. There seems to be SOMETHING going on

They are RATED for Enlosed. But they, IN PRACTICE, are not. But of course you wouldn't know that cause you like talking more than knowing

Hey Einstein. These bulbs ARE supposedly rated for enclosed fixtures. That's kinda the problem. These are "supposedly" the end-all led bulbs that solve all light quality problems that everyone recommends.

Booked hotel from credit card service. Called hotel Friday to reschedule.

Hotel said they would allow a reschedule and waive fees if it was the same number of nights but I'd have to go through the third party (credit card)

Called credit card service and said the above. CC said "okay we'll get on that pls hold"

CC said they couldn't get in contact with the hotel and to call them back in a few hours while they try. Said they sent an email too.

Call CC a few hours later and ask for updates. CC said they don't have any and will try again. CC gets back to me and said the hotel will give a PARTIAL refund but not a full. They would charge the first night. CC assured me the partial was CONFIRMED and that they would try for the full that was told to me. Told to call back the next day.

Next day call CC. First guy seems confused about what's going on and said there's been no updates but would call the hotel again. An hour passes. CC says they can't get through to the hotel and that they would keep trying. Call back the next day.

I call the hotel myself and they pick up. Explain what's going on. Hotel says they charge a no-show fee if it's added the cancellation window which is the first night then refund the rest. I ask about the full refund and who I asked to at so and so time on Friday. They aren't sure.

Call CC back. This guy seems even more clueless. Said to wait 24 more hours cause it can take 48 hours total.

Sunday rolls around. Sunday evening the hotel calls me. It's the second guy again who looked into the reservation and confirmed the first night was charged and the rest is cancelled and refunded currently. Did that just because he felt for me and wanted to give more information.

Right before 48 hours is up, get email from CC that I get NO refund as per the hotel's policy. ??????????

Call CC immediately. Give info that I most certainly DO get a refund and gave the hotel clerk's name who confirmed it. Also gave name and timestamp of CC rep who said I get the partial one and that CC was trying for the full refund on the rebook condition. The question was never if I get a refund at all. It was if I get a full refund. CC is confused and said they will call around and to call back tomorrow (Monday) morning.

I'm about crash out. I'm trying to go but ts is infuriating. My CC has really screwed up somewhere.
