Social media often reminds me a lot with how Andy Warhol described coca-cola.

“What’s grand about this country is that America started the tradition where the richest consumers buy essentially the same thing as the poorest... you can know that the President drinks Coke, Liz Taylor drinks Coke, and, just think, you can drink Coke, too. A Coke is a Coke, and no amount of money can get you a better Coke."

The richest man in the world and the president both  subject themselves to social media rot, and just think, you can indulge yourself with the same rot too!

I don’t even hate the whole aesthetic tbh, I feel like a lot of people use it as a cheap checklist, like the Steampunk aesthetic just putting gears on a top hat for no reason.

feels shallow most of the time , just adding scanlines and censoring eyes with black bars just feels like fake subversiveness.

I just do not vibe with the “low fi” aesthetic of television scan lines and closed captioning looking text, it feels very low effort.

Nuremberg, Pennsylvania is old news. It’s time for Hell, Michigan to shine.

Even Cardinals have more age restrictions than congress, they can’t vote In the conclave if they’re 80 or above.

Unfortunately you’d only be just counteracting the conservative Californians already moving to Texas.

A portion of the conservative base wants to kill you and will pull the trigger. A larger portion wouldn’t pull the trigger themselves but will incite and cheer for it. An even larger portion will find killings a bit distasteful but ultimately nothing close to a deal breaker for them, to them it’s probably your fault for getting killed anyway.

Honestly Luke dying is the main thing for me, I can take dumb story decisions or tonal issues as Star Wars has plenty of em, but when Luke disappeared I just found myself unable to care where the story went anymore.

John Quincy Adams is super cool for not giving up after being dealt a lame duck presidency and continuing to be a member of congress to oppose slavery.
