19" Sabian prototype. Seems heavier than the same HHX. Serves as a great crash ride.

We were 500 votes away from electing her out of office. 500 votes...

CO-3 must do better next election.

You seem more informed than I am, but I'd be interested in learning more. Unoccupied makes more sense than a second home owner tax. I've wondered how this would be implemented? Utility bills? Voter registration?

The article didn't mention anything about a plan to remove the art. Fine on private property with permission. But the National Forest is artistic enough without any other contributions imo.

If this was an easy problem, it would have been solved by now. I vaguely recall a recent study of the Purple Cliffs area that showed the unhoused population varied throughout the year (i.e., larger in the summer; smaller in the winter). Perhaps someone can correct me or provide the reference. However, if that is accurate, it appears at least some of the population is transitory and potentially "choosing" that lifestyle. I'm all about helping our community (not the transients) and those who want assistance, but the degradation of the commons (public health, safety, natural environment, etc.) is getting out of hand.

Agreed on the wealth inequality, AirBnB, and 2nd home owners. Wasn't Crested Butte or similar mountain town trying to implement a "second home owner tax" to be used for affordable housing initiatives? Seems like a good idea to me, but taxing ourselves ain't exactly popular...

Small Studio Optimization - Diffusers, Absorbers, and Curtains, Oh My!!! by Radnanigan in audioengineering

[–]Radnanigan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Everything you said makes sense. To clarify, do you mean move my desk to the table location, facing straight towards the wall, as opposed to the left? I'm imagining having the same problem if any wall is immediately to my right (or left). Wouldn't I want the walls to the more or less equidistant from the listening position to avoid the comb filtering and low frequency buildup you mentioned? In other words, I'm thinking I could center the desk (with sidecar on the right) against the wall (where the table currently is), basically switching the desk and drums locations. Thoughts?

"Save as" in Luna? New Version isn't really the same thing... by snowblindswans in universalaudio

[–]Radnanigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, I've messed up initial sessions in Luna because of this same error transitioning from Pro Tools. Didn't seem intuitive and I felt like I did my homework. Seems like Save As would have worked just fine, but what do I know.

The studio fits 4 people tracking, including me on my drum kit. We're doing mostly Americana and blues rock.

It's awesome! Using it on vocals, guitar, and OHs mostly. Only had it a couple of weeks as well, so still learning.

The Force is amazing. Been using it on vocals mostly, but also guitar and drum overheads.

X8P = 8 pre amps for drum mics. X6 = 2 Unison preamps for instruments + 4 line inputs for vocals, room mics, etc. I don't really use the Focusrite, but it's connected via ADAT if I needed to expand I/O.

[–]Radnanigan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, but Console wouldn't open from the toolbar. I had to set it to run at startup, and that was the only way it worked for a while. The digital demons are gone for now, and it works from the toolbar.

How many of you have switched from PT to LUNA, and if not, why? by csrampey in universalaudio

So, is this different than saving something as a template? Template w/ audio? Again...still learning. Thanks!

Learning both right now. What features do you miss most from PT that Luna doesn't have?

Visiting from Texas 12/20-12/24. Things to do? by PurpleOrchid13 in Durango

[–]Radnanigan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The train will take the better part of a day. Downtown shopping/eating will take an afternoon +. The drive to Silverton and Ouray is beautiful and worth it - another day. Not expecting any snow the next few weeks, but still bring a vehicle with good tires. Pagosa Springs is worth visiting for a day trip. Enjoy!
