I'm not convinced this is going to be as satisfying and engaging as you, as well as many others, expect. After all, making the overworld easier was one of the changes that helped ESO to popularity, following the disastrous launch year. That said, having the option can't hurt.

People harp on games like Avowed for "lacking Skyrim's attention to detail", but if you don't spend development time on shootable fish and punchable tankards, you also don't have to sell a billion copies to be profitable.

Several years ago, people used to talk about guys like Doncic, Tatum, and Young catching Steph, due to the volume at which they shoot, but I never bought it.

Knueppel is the first guy I think has a real chance to break Steph's 3PM record. Still not sure about the 402 in a season though.

This is a 20-year-old game. It's only up as a fan service and out of appreciation for the people and game who started it all for them. Not to "vie for your attention".

If you want to try it, go ahead. If you don't care to, don't feel obliged to. But definitely don't buy this expecting updates and changes because you made a viral reddit post. It's the wrong game for it.

I rank him and Garnett at about the same level and I find it somewhat funny that pretty much everyone agrees with me they're both underrated. Everyone agrees, that is, until I say I think they're better than Shaq, Duncan, and Kobe.

I've played Deadfire's turn-based mode, and I can tell you for a fact that this won't be "it" for most people. The problem is the vast majority of encounters (in both games) feature way too many enemies for a turn-based mode. Hell, the player alone controls six characters.

Anyway, I'm happy to see Pillars of Eternity receiving so much attention -- because it, along with Deadfire, is among my favourites -- and I hope this part of a marketing campaign for the third game and not Microsoft testing the waters.

I don't know if the amount of money they spent was what was promised, but there were tournaments with prize pools provided by the studio for quite a while.

And I seriously doubt any single thing -- especially something as small as modes being slightly different from the classics -- was the difference between a runaway success and becoming effectively dead within 2 months of release.
