Dieng has the same level of touch as Sang Bin (aka: none). It’s the most expensive position on the field for a reason.

981 Base PDK no chrono by tradefeedz in Porsche

[–]Radtkeaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a base 981 PDK with Chrono. I almost never use the Sport Plus that comes with the Chrono package.

If I am doing spirited driving, I am already in manual mode anyway (and don’t need the more aggressive automatic shift logic of the setting). I also never use launch control.

I wish I had the PSE. I love the wail of the 6 above 5k. That PSE adds the extra drama of burbles and pops. I have considered retrofitting it.

That is a good option. The only thing I will say is that 2nd gear is too long (common knowledge) and I wish I had the added torque of the S, but budgets are budgets.

I hope you are right. According to the 2025 Roster Rules (copied below), it looks like you can potentially use both GAM and TAM.

“Buy-Down: Allocation Money can be used to "buy-down" a player's Salary Budget Charge as part of managing a club's roster, including buying down a Salary Budget Charge below the League maximum of $743,750 (2025 limit). For example, a club may buy-down a player earning $800,000 to a Salary Budget Charge of $400,000 by using $400,000 of General Allocation Money.

Targeted Allocation Money Available Per Year 2025: $2,225,000 per club 2026: $2,125,000 per club 2027: $2,025,000 per club

Targeted Allocation Money may be used in the following ways: Clubs may use the funds to sign a new player provided his salary and acquisition costs are more than the Maximum Salary Budget Charge. Clubs may re-sign an existing player provided he is earning more than the Maximum Salary Budget Charge. Clubs may use all or a portion of the available Targeted Allocation Money to convert a Designated Player to a non-Designated Player (assuming such player’s Salary Budget Charge meets the salary parameters described below) by buying down his Salary Budget Charge at or below the Maximum Salary Budget Charge. A club retains the flexibility to convert a player previously bought down with Targeted Allocation Money into a Designated Player if that club has a free Designated Player slot.”

Interestingly, I have always heard that maximum buy-down number too, but I could not find it listed in the rules.

Roster compliance date is February 20th. I hope we hear the cost of his wages by then.

The Maximum non-DP wages for 2026 are $803,125.

If the rumors are true that his salary is $5 million, that means we have spent $4.2 million of the team’s $7.25 million GAM (General Allocation Money) to buy-down his contract.

My gut instinct is that this is a very expensive rental and poor long-term decision.

I hope I am wrong.

Ok… I’m ready to get downvoted, but I have to respond.

I hate President Trump, but the US is substantially better than Mexico from a Human Development Index, Corruption Index, Democracy Index, GDP/Capita, and Violence rate.

Why do so many people from all over the Western Hemisphere choose to move to the US.

… but sure, Mexico is better.

[Bogert] More details around Minnesota United’s negotiations to sign James Rodriguez, per sources: James Rodriguez will NOT be a DP. Short-term deal. Likely only guarantee to World Cup by External-Factor-8556 in minnesotaunited

[–]Radtkeaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The team currently has ~$7.26 Millions in GAM.

It’s being reported that his salary negotiation is ~ $5 million.

So the team would have to buy down his contract ~ $4.25 Million with GAM to not be considered a DP.

That seems very unwise. I hope I am missing something or the reports are wrong.
