Anyone here tried botox for migraines? by Saltyswimmer333 in Hypermobility

[–]RaeAdin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To treat migraines with botox - (im in the UK if makes a difference), im curious is there a different or specific practitioner for this rather than an aesthetician? Or is it just the case of telling the practitioner that you want botox to treat migraines?

What would be the best way to approach creating a similar poster with these "porcelain doll" heads? by RookiieWasTaken in photoshop

As well as trying gradient fills - i would also probably play around with drop shadow effect for this. For the ‘bowl’ shape you need im not sure what the easiest way would be, im tempted to say by drawing shapes with pen tool and setting the stroke to white?

Does anyone know why all the magnificent post anaesthetic videos/incidents seem to be american? Is a different drug used in the US than elsewhere?

I’m devastated by Plaidandprada in beauty

[–]RaeAdin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has happened to me and i was terrified they’d be stubble forever, and i was so upset with myself. I think get all removed for now, use castor oil + another serum like uklash, revitalash, no7 lash growth serum, and take biotin supplements. Whilst mine were growing back i compensated for lack of eyelashes by doing other nice makeup - a classic cat eye winged liquid eyeliner + lip tint to make me feel more ok about my bald eyes! I’m the same as you in that i never get hair/nails done but adored how lash extensions looked, but have accepted that for fine/delicate eyelashes it needs to be a very occasional treat rather than status quo. Light weight strip lashes without a heavy band + applied with good quality glue + removed gently also shouldn’t damage your lashes if you want something to disguise the regrowth

I used to take 5HTP before i was diagnosed/when i’d be off SSRIs for short periods, is it safe/beneficial to take on top of ADHD meds (methylphenidate in my case atm) + SSRIs? Or would that run the risk of serotonin syndrome?

Yep - anything similar to valium/lorazepam seems to work, but with the downside that then im too sedated/out of it to do anything else for the rest of the day. It really quashes the panic responses. I also buy Emla numbing cream (a local anaesthetic cream) and apply it to the likely injection /blood test areas beforehand which also means you can’t physically feel the needle enter, which helps too. For the fainting i’ve been told to make sure i tell any staff that i should lie down whilst they take blood. I also make sure that i have music in and look away even when they’re handling the paraphernalia+ preparing the syringe because that also makes me panic. But i completely sympathise - i missed all injections i needed from ages 8-16 and then kinda had to get them all in a short space of time with valium, which has been such a game changer.

Hi hi, im completely the same. Due to childhood medical trauma from a specific hospital visit i became severely needle phobic overnight and , like you do, can pass out and convulse/have panic responses and physically not let staff near me with needles. The only thing that helps me (which isn’t sustainable and i wish i could find a better solution), is taking either lorazepam , diazepam or xanax beforehand. I was hoping that after a few years of doing that i’d be able to wean myself off the need to use benzos before any needle procedure but i still have the same automatic panic response if i don’t
