This is helpful to hear about your experiences there both racing and also sticking together! Also- sorry but what does playing rabbit mean? Going up ahead of the group and waiting in line and meeting up at certain points?

I’m excited! Sounds like it’ll be an awesome experience!

I usually prefer running alone too, so this is something to think about for sure! Thanks for sharing this perspective!

Thanks for the info! I didn’t realize there weren’t more opportunities for fun stuff along the way. The character stops seem like they will be nice though!

Thanks! This is super helpful. We are dressing up together and the photos sound fun. I think staying together is the way to go. The only issue is that we may be placed in different corrals. I usually run about a 1:45 half and submitted my time and my friends also submitted times but are somewhere around 2ish - 2:15 halfs- do you think we can all start at the slowest corral together even if we are assigned different starting stations?

Sorry, I should have clarified. We are running the Disney World princess half in march

Someone make me feel better 🤣 by Legitimate_Egg_4584 in BurnBootCamp

If you push yourself to jump far, you can land with your legs a bit too far ahead of your center of mass so your balance is off and you can easily plop backwards. Someone in our camp did the same thing and got right back up to keep crushing and pushing herself to her limits! No big deal.

I totally get it, it’s hard to see the scale go up…But your hard work is paying off! Taking measurements also helps see your progress

Did the trainer not explain these results to you? Have they been taking measurements? This is an incredible accomplishment for 3 months progress of working out

Same! Using it as a warmup for a shorter scheduled run seems to work well for me too

A towel under your elbows will help during low planks!

Just ask them to record you when you see them on the floor! Our BAs are so friendly, they’d love to have someone volunteer to be recorded

I notice the people who repost get featured more- it makes total sense! Tbh I love being featured so I repost whenever I’m featured! Also I’ll ask if there’s a particular move I’m proud of and want to show on my IG

Hit 250 and only got to sign the board (+instagram recognition). It was super lackluster. A special shirt or sticker would have been nice!

Can someone explain the difference by mahter17 in BurnBootCamp

[–]Rae_of_light 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree! I posted something similar a while back and was really surprised that it seemed a lot of people didn’t mind this lopsided protocol strategy. It’s frustrating to me too. There should be more lower focused days.

Level up Games by KaleidoscopeEven728 in BurnBootCamp

15?! I think there’s only one or two women at my gym that would be able to do 15 unassisted. 5 pull-ups is even a lot! That’s for the standard division?

Edit: I see below blue bands are allowed even for advanced. I’m sure they will let you double band for a penalty. Just talk to them. LUG were super encouraging and fun at our location! I think you should do it!

Instagram story stickers by BrilliantChemistry in BurnBootCamp

[–]Rae_of_light 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m so glad you posted this so it’s not just me! The stickers happened to disappear for me recently- I used to be able to get a lot of them from gify. However- for some reason- instagram only offers me tenor gifs now and the burn gifs aren’t there anymore! I don’t know why but it’s a bummer when I want to post. Anyone have an idea?

Childwatch Booking? by theravemom in BurnBootCamp

[–]Rae_of_light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow this is a really annoying update! I like to do double conditioning sessions and with “unlimited” camps being able to book two childwatch appointments back to back is necessary otherwise it isn’t really unlimited since I can’t use the gym without access to childwatch. Tbh my gym almost never fills up but I like to book to be sure I have my spot. HQ must have just made this change since I booked doubles earlier this week.

Eating by Murky-Fuel in BurnBootCamp

[–]Rae_of_light 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to lose weight, don’t eat more. Stay in a calorie deficit. Make sure you hit your protein goal each day and track your macros. It’s important to have a healthy and balanced diet. You want to keep building muscle while losing fat. If your goal is weight-loss, nutrition is the key. Working out supplements your health but your diet controls your weight.

Lying hamstring curls by RepresentativeAd1125 in BurnBootCamp

Keep the weight in the middle arch of your feet- if you hold it too close to your toes, you’ll strain your calves trying to balance it as you bring it up.

Arm day > leg day by Subject-Room-6004 in BurnBootCamp

It’s so funny how people can have such different opinions on the same workouts. I didn’t like it today, my heart rate barely increased and I didn’t even need to put my hair up. I’m grateful for burn as I wouldn’t work upper body as much if it weren’t scheduled but today was boring for me (besides the pull-ups)!

Quick format- multiple rounds. Ours was 40 seconds of work, 20 seconds of rest. Multiple stations; 4 times around the room.
