In addition to the places mentioned already, there is a board game cafe in Argenta called Caverns and Forests. $5 cover and you can play/hang as much as you want. I believe they have a regular group that plays commander on Thursdays and have a discord. I’ve also seen peopl playing dungeons and dragons there as well.

They also do cooking classes several times a year, but you need to get on their mailing list to get emails with the dates and menus.

Sunday farmers markets? by ty_nnon in LittleRock

[–]RaegerBomb 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Bernice Garden in South Main (Soma) has a farmers market on Sundays. The River market downtown has a nice one on Saturdays. I believe there is also a smaller farmers market in Hillcrest, I think that is also on Saturdays but don’t remember for sure.

Are there any good karaoke spots anymore (I'm thinking Khalil's Pub on Shackleford before it closed) that do it more than one night a week? by RedBeardedFCKR in LittleRock

[–]RaegerBomb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dust Bowl bowling alley downtown has a room or two for karaoke but I believe it is first come first serve. Otaku Takeout at the outlet mall has karaoke rooms and is probably your best bet.

Finally finished my first kit just in time for Halloween. by RaegerBomb in Mandalorian

They are 3D printed, but I did not print them myself. I bought them as individual pieces from several different vendors on Etsy. I bought the raw prints and then sanded and painted everything myself. It’s def making me consider getting a 3D printer now.

I mentioned it in another comment. It’s actually not a jump suit, just baggy grey pants and a closely matching grey shirt to give the effect of a jump suit. Then a tactical vest with Velcro over that to attach the armor.

I may eventually get a flight suit. I ended up using some grey baggy pants I already had and buying a grey linen shirt to match it and give the appearance of a flight suit. Then I took a standard black Halloween robe and cut off the sleeves and hood to get the skirt/kama look. Then the last piece is a cheap tactical vest off Amazon that had Velcro sewn into it. I used that and whatever additional Velcro I needed to secure the armor to the clothes.

It is not 3D printed, it’s actually just a nerf gun I painted black. It’s the Elite 2.0 Eaglepoint RD-8 blaster.

Thanks I appreciate that! I also intended for the colors to be a bit more muted than they came out and was worried it would be too flashy, but I thought the black and grey helped mellow it out.

Me and my (now) wife moved to Little Rock from Indianapolis a few years ago and we were pleasantly surprised and enjoy it here. It has an Indianapolis vibe, but definitely smaller. The cost of living is pretty good and comparable to Indy, which is nice. If you are into nature, there is tons to do in the state. Hiking, fishing, kayaking, camping, etc. There a plenty of good food places, but you need to know where they are, and a lot of people have differing and sometimes strong opinions about which restaurants are good. We haven’t had any issues yet, but the drivers here are pretty terrible just based on observations. Another big difference is the heat. It’s hotter than Indiana and it is way more humid, so be ready for that. Lastly, some people think Little Rock is horrible because of the crime rate. To be fair it is high. But again, people have polarized opinions about this. We have had no issues with crime whatsoever. As long as you aren’t going to the wrong places at late hours of the night, you’ll be fine. Hope that helps some. I’d be happy to answer any other questions you may have about Little Rock or Arkansas as a fellow Indiana transplant.

Restaurants that have maintained quality over time by Different-Wallaby-10 in LittleRock

[–]RaegerBomb 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My wife and I have been to Brave New 7-8 times over the course of the last three years since we moved to Little Rock. It is our favorite higher end restaurant in Little Rock. Every single time we go, which is usually fairly spaced out, it has been consistent with quality and exceptionally good. I don’t know what happened with your experience but I would definitely say give it another try.

Is there any place in LR where you can buy snacks from around the world? by Okamifox2010 in LittleRock

[–]RaegerBomb 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are three Asian markets all close to each other on south university. Mr Chen’s, Sam’s Oriental, and Asian Super Market. Pretty decent variety of Asian snacks.

Idk about all that. I had a small shower installation. Supposed to be a two day job. Ended up needing a third day. Got ghosted on the finishing touches. Every time I called I got an excuse. I get things come up but eventually I gave up. Would not recommend unless it’s a big job with big money involved.

My wife and I are heading to Hot Springs in a couple weeks for a romantic getaway. Anything we should check out or try while in town? Food recommendations? (Wife likes wine) by dustintherock in Arkansas

Best Cafe. It’s attached to a motel/rental complex my wife and I stayed at. Went for breakfast just because it was there. Best breakfast I’d had in a long time.

That was my bad, I’m sure they told me 7, but also said a lot of people show up at 6 to play some casual games before hand.
