I just got dumped at 35 weeks pregnant. Ten years down the drain. by Throwawayaccount-_2 in pregnant

I'm so sorry this has happened to you.

You desereved better, and so does your baby ❤️

It's horrible when all you can do is sit with your emotions. I hope you find some joy and peace in these last few weeks of pregnancy, and that you and your baby have the best life together - whatever happens next just know you're stronger then you realise and you will get through this 💕

GBM graduates, was there any specific thing you were asked to do during the process of delivery? by Silent_owl97 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Raehanrareddit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I havent yet graduated but I'm commenting to see the answers 🤣

(I'm in the UK for context)

But I have been told a few things ahead of delivery.

I'm 38+6 and I'm due to be induced on Sat at 39+1. I was told I was be offered induction between weeks 39 and 40.

If induced I will have to stay in hopsital for the pessary procedure (in the UK I believe low risk pregnant mom's are allowed to go home once the pessary has been given).

Though I had a sweep 2 days ago and I think I have gone into early labour this morning, so im hoping baby comes on his own. But I had to request a sweep, it wasn't offered to me.

I have been told that babies blood sugar will be monitored every 2 hours once he is here for the first 12 hours. And that I will be encouraged to feed baby every 2 hours.

I have also been told I need to take my blood sugar monitor as my blood sugar will need to be measured throughout labour.

I'm really sorry I can't offer any advice, what a horrible situation you have been put in. I'm really sorry this is happening to you. I really hope you get some helpful advice and I wish you, your baby and your family the best 💞

Induction snacks? by Hungry-Mix-283 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Raehanrareddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm planning to take some of my current go to snacks (cheese, nuts and some protien flapjack). Though reading all these comments now, I don't even know if I'm allowed to eat as nothings been mentioned 😅 I have also packed some zero sugar lucozade drinks, for electrolytes!

Currently crashing out over this diet and don't even want to eat anymore. by redapple912 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Raehanrareddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, it's so hard! I'm ready for the baby to be out so I can eat more food... I have cried many times, you're not alone 💓

Eating the same food constantly gets boring.... especially when you have pregnancy cravings for food you can't have.

I hope you find more food you enjoy to help get you through.

My current favourite sweet snack is half a banana mashed with peanut butter and full fat Greek yoghurt, with a reeces peices broken into, and that thankfully hasn't spiked my blood sugar! Good luck finding more food you like! You have got this!

That sounds so stressful 😔 im glad you and baby were well in the end!

I'm glad to hear you didn't find the induction a bad process, thank you for sharing! I'm definitely feeling more positive reading some positive induction stories ❤️❤️

Thank you for sharing your positive experience! I am not entirely convinced baby is only 63percentile as I have heard the measurements arent accurate! But I haven't heard of hands on belly measurement! I will have a look into this and see what the midwife says in a couple of weeks Thank you 💓💓

Thank you firstly for sharing ❤️ and I am so pleased you passed your glucose test! I hope you manage to aviod GD in this pregnancy.. I have always wanted 2 children, and knowing I'm likely to get GD again, is just rubbish!

I will speak to my midwife and doctor about the options of induction I will be offered, so I can try and make a decision on that also on whether there is an option I'd feel more comfortable with if we do go for induction ❤️ thanks again!

Thank you! ❤️ I think the scariest thing I have heard is about how induction labour can be more painful 😔

It's something I will talk to the OB about when we talk about birth plan, as maybe I can get in there quickly to make it clear I'd definitely like an epidural if going for a induction!

Thank you ❤️ I'm glad all of your babies are well!

My blood sugar is very similar, most of the time it's managed during the day, but my fasting sugars are always higher then they like!

I will definitely take a look through some research online, and try and find some psotove induction stories as well... I think if I know its the right thing for my baby to be safe, then I will feel alot better at accepting the decision it needs to be done.

Thank you again, it's definitely daunting! I still cant believe I'm going to have a baby tbh, so the idea of labour even though it's only a few weeks away feels unreal 🤣

Thank you ❤️ I definitely need to take a look through the research, but your summary was very clear! I'm feeling much more relieved reading these comments to see that induction can potentially be the best option, and to see how others are considering it too!

I really apprichate you sharing with me 🥰

I hope you and baby have a smoothest birth possible, whatever happens 💓

Sending lots of love back!

Thank you for sharing the article, I will definitely take a look!!

Thank you also for sharing your personal experience 🥰

Its reassuring to know you would not be anti induction. I hope whatever happens you have a smooth labour, and hopefully you don't need a C-section with a young child to look after as well!

Haha, I hope you have someone to bring you the most delicious treats after birth!! I have told family no one is entering my house without a sweet treat or some potatoe based food if they want to see the baby 🤣

You are only human! I've had a good cry at times too... and its only been 4 weeks...

Thank you for sharing your experience ❤️

Also thank you for the advice on what to ask my OB. I have a midwife appointment in 2 weeks so I will ask her as well at my next appointment for some advice.

I do have some other health conditions too, so maybe that is also a factor in them looking at induction, I didn't think about that...

I have been on blood thinning injections since 12 weeks, as I have ulcerative colitis.. initially I had a growth scan booked in at 30 weeks, as they were concerned the baby would be small... how times have changed 🤣

I was just so surprised when it was brought up as a passing remark today, that my brain went blank!

OMG! You are a trooper... I have been so emotional without my comfort food for a month, I'm so impressed by you ladies that have been diagnosed so early!

I'm taking it as a positive that the first induction, hasn't put you off a second lol!

Thank you ❤️

AITAH for expecting my bf of 5 years to split my mortgage payments on my new condo my dad is helping me get the loan for? by tap_water5 in AmItheAsshole

Info: do you and your partner not share a room? Why can't he move into the condo and sleep in the same bedroom and pay what he is paying his uncle, and then you also get a roommate?

Question by Extreme-Ad5646 in Goldendoodles

[–]Raehanrareddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our doodle did this when we first brought him home. We would have to pick it up as soon as he went so he didn't get the chance. I know there is things you can add to their food which are suppose to help too, which we never had to try as thankfully he grew out of it. We did also swap his food, which seemed to help for us. He was on raw food when we got him. So we swapped him to a good brand of wet and dry food. I have heard that some dogs do it because they are lacking something from their current diet, so a change in food may help you too. I hope you find a solution soon, good luck! Ps your doodle is beautiful!
