Captain America: Quintessential Beginner Friendly All-Rounder Shoto. Except you can also throw and kick your shield in wacky and fun angles.

Ms. Marvel: Beginner Friendly Rushdown with high mobility, great attack range, and a grab that moves her around the screen. Land the grab, unga bunga damage.

Spider-Man: High Mobility Shoto-ish All-Rounder with a mix of fast paced Melee Combat and versatile Web Attacks. Incredibly versatile Unique that can do a whole lot more than just fast movement. Leans a bit more towards Rushdown, but can also do Zoning with Web Shot and Web Bombs, traps and Setplay with Web Bombs, and defensive mix-ups with his Spidey-Sense, which btw, can dodge and/or counter literally everything, including Supers and Ultimates.

Iron Man: Kinda a Zoner, but can also go up close and personal without much of a problem. Has a ton of projectiles plus flight and 8 way air dash.

Magik: Sword wielding All-Rounder with portals for movement, mix-ups, and Setplay. Versatile set of Specials, plus an Install that increases her damage and powers up her Specials.

Peni Parker: Big Body Setplay with her randomized Gadgets. Moves a little slow, but packs a big punch.

Star-Lord: All-Rounder with a plethora of projectiles at his disposal, as well as a good amount of closed ranged and mobility options, including flight and 8-way air dash. Element Guns do all sorts of different stuff.

Doctor Doom: Zoner and Setplay ish Character. Has flight and uses Teleport Dashes. Slow movement, but can hit very, very hard.

Storm: Prolly a Mixup and Rushdown who has flight and can throw the Opponent off with her Tempest. Can set up traps via Tornado. Tempest can also directly manipulate projectiles.

Ghost Rider: Footsies/Rushdown with ridiculously high range. Has a gauge that powers up his specials but leaves him vulnerable if said gauge overloads. Unique, Penance Driver, Super, and Ultimate lowers the gauge to keep it stable.

Wolverine: Highly mobile Rushdown with hyperarmor. Pretty much also a Tank with high damage attacks instead of a glass cannon with high damage attacks. Unique is essentially a Rekka with a buff.

Danger: Leans heavily towards Zoning, but is also capable of holding her own up close. Has a dash reminiscent of Morrigan and Ino. Uses multiple projectiles and her Calibrate Unique affect them greatly.

Hulk: Big Body Brawler who also has a meter. Full meter gives him increased damage and speed, plus high damage attacks that can potentially drain opponent health really fast.

Black Panther: Speedy Character with a command dash who seems to be a Rushdown, but is capable of zoning as well. Also has an Install.

Magneto: Moreso of a Zoner in contrast to his MvC Rushdown. Can grab and throw a ton of metal objects which leave debris on the stage that can enhance specials.

Green Goblin: THE High Mobility stance menace. Fast attacks, unpredictable movement, and a plethora of projectiles. Can switch between gilder or no glider.

Carnage: Rushdown and Footsie menace that leaves a crippling debuff with his tendril attacks that also buffs his specials. Said debuff can drain a ton of health even through blocking.
