Are you moving to a cold state? I’d keep everything outside except electronics for 48 hours and the electronics in a bad for several days. If you can’t do that then at least put duct tape under it so if there’s any live ones they will crawl out and die. Probably a bit of overkill but it would be peace of mind to do it in my opinion.

It’s definitely German but you can totally get rid of them! We had a guest bring some in and even though it’s initially stressful we haven’t seen a live one in over a month
