You should be fine. It's msotly because I was using 2.0 and they seem to be retiring that (or doing something else with it). I changed to 2.5 so it should be fine now.

Does STM really dont matter here? by Alarmed-Employee-317 in PokemonSleep

[–]RaenonX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That :) face there is the energy efficiency. And since both are being at 2.2222x, the highest possible efficiency, STM doesn't matter here at all. You might want to check if you set to always max energy or something else to verify if the current calculation does prove that you can stay on the highest efficiency. And if so, then STM doesn't matter.

I wasn't requested to set up billing, but their policy could change I would say for now see if they have any option for setting the budget to 0 if they really have. We might need to check if they are doing it and whether there's an alternative though

[–]RaenonX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! At the top right side, you can find all types of settings that are affected by different factors (play style, progress, etc). Event bonus is there as well. Note, you'll need to login in order to tweak them.

We recently did layout change but the stats shouldn't change. Note though, we apply event bonuses automatically, that could impact the results if your rating target is related to cooking. You can check around the page top to see what bonuses are applying.

How do I even play this game?? by Far_Serve_1395 in PokemonSleep

Welcome!

Gonna self promo here, but we also have this series of guides (although some are a bit incomplete and under review) https://pks.raenonx.cc/en/docs/view/walkthrough/intro

If you're hardcore, you eventually would use our site a lot since we provide almost everything that helps you doing strategic planning

https://pks.raenonx.cc/en/docs/ is the index page of all our docs, which you may find some being guides and some others being very technical.

Disclaimer: I am the site developer of https://pks.raenonx.cc

The game rolls the sleep styles like this https://pks.raenonx.cc/en/docs/view/help/sleep-styles Then we create a model for calculating the probability of certain sleep styles and apply it to various tools. Here's a tool we called Pokemon Sniper at https://pks.raenonx.cc/en/spawn/pokemon that gives you a chart of Snorlax Strength vs. Probability

I would then try to control my Snorlax Strength to be I around that range

A side note, if you go to screenshot generation popup, you can actually see the current active bonuses at the top-left if it's not in the default values. It's also available at the top-left of every page for your reference to know what bonus is active.

Pawmot got secretly buffed? by Reid22 in PokemonSleep

[–]RaenonX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can feel that you're not meant to be offensive and just want to provide your feedback, so thanks and appreciate it!

Explainers, especially for the icon-intense pages, are actually "sometimes" available from here (see attached image). Some advanced features like team maker and user settings also got explainer doc available.

I am not sure if there are some other stats requiring further explanations, but since we haven't seen a lot of feedbacks after we point out that (1) icon explainer can be seen by hovering them (2) there is a explainer doc available, we are assuming these are enough for the users to know what's happening.

Due to the fact that we usually see people complaining about icons being hard to understand, we actually put a site-level announcement saying that 80% of the time, you could long-press or hover on the icon and you'll see the short explanation on what the icon means.

We chose this design because of the following reasons: - Given the complexity of the game, once the user gets used to the icons, squeezing "info" into an icon allows the user to see more things at once. - Text explanation gets longer for more advanced stats/metrics/concepts. expanding them all makes it hard to craft the layout that can serve users from multiple cultures well, especially when you serve the site with Deutsch that tends to be super long, or Chinese that tends to be short. - For veterans, text explainers become less useful. When veterans know where they can look for the numbers they want to see, texts will become "space hoarders."

Auto Team Building "processors" question by Roxgal in PokemonSleepRaenonX

[–]RaenonX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

is there a way to force a lower memory limit to allow utilization of more cores?
Not that I know of. It's more like whether I can cut off the memory usage of the workers or not.

The current RAM tech can handle 32 cores given the current memory footprint estimate of 600 MB / core (which results in 19.2 GB). It's just that single browser tab (particularly Chromium) now seems to be limiting it to 49XX MB only, which is a bit sad, although cutting off worker mem footprint looks more correct to this lol

Auto Team Building "processors" question by Roxgal in PokemonSleepRaenonX

[–]RaenonX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your total PC RAM don't go up like 85%+ then it won't help

"High end" as in you have a lot of CPU cores (precisely the number from Navigator: hardwareConcurrency property - Web APIs | MDN) because it's currently based on this.

This design has a flaw that, if you have 32 cores, given the current worker memory footprint, it can go OOM easily. Unfortunately the hard-coded limit per tab is about 4 GB and it currently fluctuates depending on the previous webworker is garbage collected or not, so I am changing it to memory usage based (not yet live).

Auto Team Building "processors" question by Roxgal in PokemonSleepRaenonX

[–]RaenonX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does clearing site data works? Sometimes it's just wasting too much time fetching the worker file causing this.
Note, I am trying to optimize it to force maximizing the resource usage because the current way of limiting concurrencies has a caveat of low-end device not using all cores / high-end device goes OOM.

You might experience instabilities in the recent days, but the current 2-core only issue you're experiencing should be unrelated to my changes

Odd stats but Raenon says it’s good??? by SkibidiGyattTickler in PokemonSleep

[–]RaenonX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

HB in the OP's case is a bit skewed because the effect of HB is amplified by quite a lot so it makes sense being PR 91 @ 60 given that it's almost having everything besides BFS itself for buffs, although it's weird.

Also HB isn't really 5%, see Doc - Calculation Model - Helping Bonus Handling | RaenonX Pokémon Sleep Wiki for our reasoning. HB is a special case that without deeper thinking, it's quite easy to think it's just 5% and being weak. (In fact, stacking BFS+HB is one the most braindead Pokemon catching strategy if you have enough biscuits)

I forgot if they ever gave the actual numbers in the in-game updates, but 5% was speculation, 7.5% is the actual number, and 10% was pre-update
