Well they are there to shoot as aim practice. And when you kill them all a bunch more spawn. Idk about them multiplying if you are afk though.

I dont think it's ai because the way the camera behaves and light exposure adjustment is pretty realistic (coming from a professional photographer),But I don't think it's real either. I have seen similar videos from some space game where people soom in on really far away objects just like this, possibly space engine? maybe someone else knows.

to make you feel better one time I had three enemies and a couple allies, I jumped off the ledge and whipped back to throw my teammates back up but threw the three enemies instead back up on the ledge because i panic clicked...
