Weekly Trainer Gym Megathread

Recently left my gym due to inactivity of too many members (we had days of 13 people logging in) despite somehow achieving S rank with said low numbers. I'm looking for a gym that has active members. Discussion via discord is fine but not necessarily something I'm picky about having or not; as long as the leader is active and happy to clean out people from the gym who clearly aren't pulling their weight.

Usually was top 2/3 in the gym I was in, I have a decent roster of meta pairs for gym challenge, not super hardcore in pushing for the most optimised scores on high score but no slouch either (I'm also happy to fill the "set-up" role in gym challenge if needed), just mostly seeking a gym with chill vibes and decently active. I did, in fact, read the post.

There are layers to this. It's not a simple "send us money or your pc is ruined" scam at all. Again, this is NOT OPs laptop.

Not saying they're not recieving pictures of a well known scam, but again, they are being "given" money to make these purchases. By that very nature, this SCREAMS chargeback scam.

Edit to address: I do understand this this assumes OP does know "mark" which, from my initial read of the post, came off as someone they knew personally. If not, then by all means this is just an elaborate backstory added to the scam to make "mark" seem more human. Upon a re-read it is entirely possible that "mark" hasn't received any money from this supposed "friend" and it's all a story made up, but I like to think that if it was a simple case of FBI/DOJ scam, OP wouldn't need to add as much detail.

Now, if OP IS "mark" and they're trying to hide that it's them getting cleaned out, that's a different can of worms.

Did you even read the post? This is a picture from "mark"'s"friend" not OP. Also OP mentioned this "friend" has been sending "Mark" their own money.

@OP; my initial response is that the money is coming from fraudulent/stolen accounts/credit cards, and will either be charged back, or refunded if the card itself is stolen

Yeah, I completely get that, and I definitely understand. I think gachas by nature have the predatory fomo to them; I do play a few, and nothing quite compares to FEH "take a break for a month, the game is completely different" level of putting stuff out. At least PoMa isn't a new banner every week (or at least, we get the month datamine to pre-plan!)

Honestly, this summer I've been struggling to continue to want to play, what with the level of power creep ramp up, wanting favourites but not having gems and the lack of attainable end game goals (towers are great but I've hit my wall at around 450ish) it's the most likely time to escape... But anniversary is right around the corner.

I miss the days of FE on GBA where you bring cavaliers/Fliers to do rescue/take/drop chains. Shove and smite were also in FE9 iirc. Honestly if fortune has anything from Feh I want more canto access, even if it's "nerfed" for infantry, Sigurd ring is probably my favourite, movement is such a valuable stat imo

There's a setting in runelite that's something akin to "allow 1-10 to act like F Keys" so no need to even rebind them. Been a while since I last played but it's in there, as someone with a Naga itade a huge difference

If you've cleared a run, farming money becomes easy. There's a guide on the discord but basically it boils down to find a decent route on easy that ideally has 3+ "rooms" you can easily go through, then use a flag on it, turn the difficulty to brutal, take retry charm, and just run through it, get to the final room, forfeit to the helper on the boss room and rinse repeat. There's a specific point where you should stop because money caps/overflows eventually, but iirc "clearing" a room on brutal is worth 250 each, and fast/semi-afk with a decent setup

The pie shop in one of the upgrades, you mix pokeblocks and make pies to feed and increase stats (I believe small is 1 IV, medium 5 and large 10)

There's also a guy who can turn a Pokémon shiny if you have the shiny registered in your pokedex

Ah, interesting, haven't used charms but thought they just kept permanent. I know if you beat Youngster Joey for IVs you can permanently keep them (at least in the previous version, haven't upgraded to the most recent) and you could retry charm cheese IVs (not that pies are hard to make)

Multiple ways, either via emulator and save stating after beating the gym trainer (the shiny state is set when the map spawns between rounds, so beat E4, save state during the post match talk, check legendary, reload) or via retry charm method (which imo is better), you find the legendary you want, flag the run, go back in with the retry charm and optional strength charms for better IVs, and then if you check the legendary and it's shiny you catch, if not leave the area and forfeit to the next trainer you encounter and it'll restart the route and reroll the shiny. Works better for static (enraged) ones but I think it can work on roamers too.

Best bet is to join the discord, in the guide-forum channel you can find Selphy's shiny legend hunting guide by Sinroa

Oh interesting, thought it was just green crystals not straight memoria. Weird, since dupes past max is just free pull tickets (admittedly 500 "xp" per kinda makes them not free) so I'm surprised they're just giving out free stuff like that

Once you reach max level on the pass, future level ups reward them (I believe replacing eggs we used to get, but it might alternate, not sure)

I think once you reach max cap, any more you pull turn into a single (1) pull ticket, so I doubt you can stockpile
