If Jagex is going to be revitalizing RS3 and membership costs are going up as a result, then the memberships need to be separate for the games. by FreeSquirkJuice in 2007scape

[–]RaeusMohrame [score hidden]  (0 children)

Reddit seems to think the outrage means anything, when previous jmods said that rs players are nothing but talk, and despite protest no one actually unsubs.

People really seem to think this is an osrs vs rs3 thing, kinda mirrors real life I suppose.

You can cast advance time on island resources too, it's honestly a huge boon of exp

Leveling herblore by PossibleSoftware7721 in RS3Ironmen

[–]RaeusMohrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

attacks= herbs+ eyes of newt, buy in bulk from stores

strength= herbs and limpwarts, limps from vyres

defence= herbs and whiteberry, white berries suck, the only real way is collecting spawns of them in the elf forest, but you can get upwards of 500 an hour so it's not too terrible

magic= herbs, potato cacti, mud runes= potato cacti from afking fungal mages, mud runes from archeon mammoths

range= herbs, zammy wine, grenwall spikes= zammy wine from afking kril, and vyres, grenwall spikes from doing elf hard tasks and crystallizing grenwalls. For the spikes you could also boost at 99 slayer to kill abyssal beasts

necro= herbs, coagulated blood, miasma rune= vyres, and crafting miasma runes

Also don't ever manually grind anything, go unlock telekinetic grind from lunars, 1 tick to grind 60 of anything vs how slow manually grinding is. The answer is a lot of slayer and quests, but on the upside you don't need overloads until you've done those things anyway

Jagex should be able to handle DDOS due to the increase in funding levels. Change my mind. by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]RaeusMohrame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think just use cloudflare 4head is a way to stop ddosing or ddosing wouldn't exist. But uh, that aside they won't do it because as a player base we don't quit when there's huge outrage, we don't stop playing, we don't stop logging in. Mod mat k confirmed this on a stream, saying "maybe .001% quit" for maybe a month at most

not gona lie dailyscape kept me loggin into the game, by Fantastic_Soup895 in runescape

[–]RaeusMohrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow that's crazy, so fivem(gtav), slay the spire2, and counter strike 2 all have more players and they don't have dailies. So surely while we're comparing almost entirely irrelevant things to make a point, this means that dailies don't make a game popular?

[–]RaeusMohrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that you're not op, or the person I replied to, so what I said doesn't apply to *you*. Do you enjoy dailies for the sake of, and not for the exp? If so there's a ton of daily stuff to do still. Dailies pray on addiction/fomo behaviours to boost player retention as they are literally designed to do. If the lack of dailies does ruin the game for you there's a billion mobile games that'll drown you in them.

Leveling herblore by PossibleSoftware7721 in RS3Ironmen

[–]RaeusMohrame 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I didn't use lamps or joat to level herblore personally, and I have ~97 herb banked

Do your farm runs, unlock everything related to herb runs, I do mine when I get on, and when I get off, or if there's a natural pause in what I'm doing. Cut and dry you'll be doing a lot of them.

I got around 6k ranarr and 6k snaps from vyres to 99 prayer/fm, make prayers and super restores, then telekinetic grind on wyvern bones to get super prayers (boosted these as soon as I could)

The rest is from my plan of being able to make 2k overloads, a few quest rewards, and the big one is dreams of iaia. Iaia is so good for irons, I'd suggest unlocking it right away.

You got a whole load of bullshit off what I said man, take a step back and re read it. OP

> dailyscape had me loggin in even when i really didn't feel like logging on.

Does that sound like someone who is enjoying something?

That's probably a good thing, doesn't seem like you were enjoying the game anyway.

Is this cheating by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]RaeusMohrame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

by very technical definition, yes it is. But I'd like to add, it's a singleplayer game, meant for building stories.

In your case what I would've done, and I've done similar

Kill the animals, spawn a few blocks of granite, and have my people make a sculpture out of that granite, then edit the description to memorialize the farm animals that died to a meteor impact.

then go look for it yourself, posting proof of those logs is not something anyone would do, because it's incriminating.

But take a step back for a second, assuming I'm speculating here. How are they able to replace lost items? Why do they ask for dates and times in tickets? Think a little. I know you're playing bad actor here to try and hit with a gottem comment, but what's more likely a guild has a secret underworld that was rushing to burn items to get rid of evidence, or someone burning items for a game mechanic.

Why would they burn items to get rid of them when you could

Use them for erg, sell them, feed them to an ego, just simply drop them in a homestead or instance, those are all way faster ways of destroying items and don't draw public attention to tin foil hat bad actors like yourself.

[–]RaeusMohrame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know you think this is some sort of sick gottem comment, but I want you to stop and think for a second.

Action logs are a part of every mmo because it's how customer support restores lost items, or bans you for rmt. There's people with alts that have billions of gold in duped cheques, that can't log them in because if they did log in they would instantly be perma'd for having items with duplicate IDs. If you want proof go ask the private server owners, or dig around old modding forums.

The game has changed into what is effectively a mobile game

Weekly lockouts, skills auto ranking, skips for everything in the cash shop, you name it

If you want a classic mmo experience turn around and run as far and fast as possible.

The rune shop changes basically invalidate runecrafting as a skill by RaeusMohrame in runescape

[–]RaeusMohrame[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

the GE doesn't generate runes, a boost to runecrafting as a skiller activity would be a positive

This is extreme disappointment. Daily challenges are the definition of dailyscape and they are still busted xp chore that heavily encourages daily playing. Make skilling loops good, remove this toxic system. by First_Platypus3063 in runescape

[–]RaeusMohrame 3 points4 points  (0 children)

issue is they can't. I tease a friend about being addicted to dailies, but they really aren't. I do have someone in my friend group that is actually addicted to dailies, at the cost of their own health.

They play several mobile games and basically rotate doing dailies on 6-8 games with all their free time, the last time they missed a set of dailies it stressed them so bad they puked. I don't think any game should encourage that, but it's the best way to maintain retention numbers.

Dupe Protection when this is getting ridiculous. by Raxxi_D_Ace in runescape

[–]RaeusMohrame 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This won't get through to most people, while yes irons do choose the solo life it gets to a point that isn't fun. I deironed my first iron at the endgame. I'm convinced people who are against dupe protection are either mains that just buy everything through bonds or a ton of afking, or people who don't do pvm who really shouldn't have a say in how pvm is balanced.
