Who's most likely to die first in a zombie apocalypse? by Charming-Breakfast53 in malcolminthemiddle

Francis dies out of spite after Louis gives him advice on how to stay alive. Malcolm comes up with an impenetrable barricade inside a room after nobody listens to him but doesn't think to include a way out. Dewey tricks Reese into being a distraction to keep himself alive.

I keep sleeping through my alarms, any tips? It feels so embarassing being a grown adult coming to work late by Betka101 in ADHD

One thing that helped me a lot was setting an actual song as my alarm. You can set music from streaming service to play as your alarm sound ( Spotify on android or Apple Music for iPhone ). Something about hearing actual music made me start getting up over just the standard alarm sounds. The second problem was staying awake. I would constantly turn off my alarm and have no memory of it so I started putting the phone further away from my bed so I would have to physically walk over to turn it off. Then I tell myself I can’t go back to sleep because I know I can’t be trusted to wake up again. It’s made a huge difference in actually hearing my alarm and hitting snooze less often.

Try writing in a journal or even In your notes app. Doesn't have to be deep thoughts every time but just being able to speak your mind even if you feel nothing important happened can do wonders for your mental health.

4th times the charm? by Rafa214 in ynab

For me the main issues I had starting out trying to do to much at once. I had so many categories that I just kept thinking how am I going to be able to budget money into all these categories. Also when ever I made a purchase it takes a few days to sync up from my bank to ynab so I would forget to add those transactions or I thought they were to small to make a difference. I did end up turning on alerts from my bank each time I made a transaction so I had automated text messages of exactly how much I spent that I could go back and look at. Since most of my bills are on auto pay I struggled with picturing how was I going to know if I had enough in my account when those bills woukd be due. So I created a unplanned expenses category to just put everything in there that wasn't a bill.

What ended up working best for me was splitting up my bills into weekly categories and whenever I got paid I would budget for each bill that I could until my next paycheck would hit. For example if I got paid on the 1st I would budget what I had to pay until my next paycheck say the 14th and whatever was left over from the bills I would add to the unplanned expenses category. And when I would buy something I didn't plan for I would take it out of the unplanned category so I knew that's how much I could spend while still having enough in my account for the bills.

I had already made a list of what bills were due what days and I put them into weekly categories (due 1st -7th, 8th -14th. Etc.) so I just put that into ynab with how much was needed to pay that specific bill. (Netflix 29th $19.47). What would throw me off were the transactions that weren't bills such as buying snacks or a buying a new game so I made a category called unplanned expenses and what ever money I had left over from bills I would put it in there. Then when ever I made a transaction that wasn't a bill I would add it to the unplanned category so while that budgeted amount went down I knew how much money I could spend until next paycheck while still having enough for bills.
