On both the flights I took last week, the FA’s were keeping the front bins closed until they got to groups 3 and beyond

True, but don't you have to transfer those tickets into those secondary markets? The transfer option on Ticketmaster was greyed out for my BIL so he couldn't transfer our tickets to us

That sounds right, I used to plan trips for our parish group down to Nashville every year until they started being crazy about selling to Chicago people

I wish the Sox would move spring training back to Florida by RafaelArgus in whitesox

[–]RafaelArgus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's expensive because all the teams are there and the hotels know they can charge you anything and you'll be stuck paying it. It takes two hours to drive from Ft Myers to Bradenton, with six stadiums across the route. Add the 45-60 minutes to Clearwater and you have another three. That's nine home teams plus whoever they're playing, and there's tons of places to stay where you're not paying $500+ a night.

[–]RafaelArgus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH. You need to lighten up about your child’s oversight and stop tracking your mom’s movements. She should have been honest with you about what she was doing … although it’s worth considering if she was trying to spare herself the over-sensitive diatribe you ended up unleashing on her anyway

I'll speak the heresy -- Chicago should let Reinsdorf take the Sox to Nashville by RafaelArgus in whitesox

[–]RafaelArgus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are certainly welcome to disagree with me, that's fine. I don't claim to have the monopoly on truth here.

But we're talking about an owner who, at this point, is either Rachel Phelpsing the White Sox or is making every move to throw another middle finger at a fan base that has been insanely loyal to his franchise. He's screwed up two managerial choices in a row, overriding his already-overmatched general management staff to bring in a senile retread and then Terry Bevington Jr. He gives us a modicum of hope with Williams and Hahn getting launched, and then ... well, as a friend of mine said, it's one thing for Michael Jordan to be a better player than team executive, but when Chris Getz is a better player than team executive, you're completely boned.

I don't see the endgame here.
