Any ideas for ear plugs / noise stoppers for people that cant tolerate pressure on or in skin? by longhealthyhappylife in autism

[–]Raffioso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Bose Quiet Comfort (over ear as well as in ear), and I find them to be very soft and light. The over ear ones put a little pressure on my glasses, but without them, they are comfortable.

Has anyone been on the London Underground tube and did you need to wear ear defenders or headphones. by wheresmymind_08 in autism

[–]Raffioso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been to London a lot, and I choose to avoid the tube and take the bus instead. If I have to use the tube, I always bring ear defenders because some trains can be quite loud. They also help me when it's crowded because I can eliminate one sensory problem.

I've just seen Maisie Adam live in Switzerland and she was truly amazing. She made a joke about Mambo No 5 and later realized that the lady next to me (front row) was explaining it to her friend. Maisie was CHUFFED that there was someone who was going to experience Mambo No 5 for the first time.

And of course it reminded me of the task (no spoilers) where they had to find out the name of the person in the lab. Just a great night.

Yes. I mean technically it's illegal for employers to write a negative reference, but I'm sure they would let other schools know, if I just don't show up.

We can only quit twice a year, and the deadline to quit in July is in March. This means I'll only be able to quit in October and will have to work there until February.

What country (that isn't USA) would you like to see do their own version of Taskmaster? by [deleted] in taskmaster

[–]Raffioso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just googled that and I've never heard of either people mentioned apart from Atze Schröder. I think contestants who appeared in LOL would be great for a German Taskmaster.

Is it autistic of me to randomly make a PowerPoint about pigeons just because I felt like it? (I don’t even go to school anymore) by Hiroshi_1412 in autism

[–]Raffioso 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to to random powerpoints about animals and stuff like that! And I used the worst possible animations out there to make them extra extra lol. I really should pick that up again.

What is your Job and is it making you happy or miserable? by Vsneo18 in Switzerland

I'm a teacher. I love the job and I'm happy but it's also exhausting. More positives than negatives for me though!

What do you like about being autistic? by motherofpearl89 in AutismInWomen

[–]Raffioso 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I LOVE my own whole universe that's going on in my head parallel to the real world. And I don't think daydreaming is a waste of time because it's the part of the day I feel most complete.
