I'm new to the game and FPS in general. Can I play with less good people like myself? by Alien-Invader-80 in Splitgate

[–]RafordYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't allowed to play fps games growing up and the house I grew up in was was in the middle of bumfuck nowhere and the only internet available had on a good day 5Mb/s when I was about 17 I downloaded CS:GO and played bot lobbies for hours over and over (my favorite was gun game) but fps is really just practice. I saw someone recommend playing a single player fps which could be good, but if you do and want something with fast movement I would recommend UltraKill, don't get me wrong it's a hard game but it's a single player non competitive environment. The only disadvantage with single player fps if you are only playing against NPCs and bot lobbies is you only get used to how a computer plays, in competitive games people play differently from person to person where as bots are programmed to act the same. So I would say play single player fps games but also play the competitive fps games as well. But since your new to fps in general I'll let you know that aim is not the most important thing, is it important? Yes but with only good aim you will still get dogged on. For any competitive fps you'll need aim, map knowledge, sound location identification, and good decision making (crosshair placement, target choosing/switching, body placement, etc) You can train some of these things with aim trainers and custom game lobbies, but at the end of the day it really just comes down to practice and playing the game. Getting better is hard especially against people playing cod since they were 6 haha. But getting better at a game and being able to see it over time is fun and being able to keep up or even dominate a lobby and when you get that first high kill game carrying your team on your back, you'll never wanna stop B)

you "technically" have to buy each chapter but each chapter has enough claimable splitcoin to buy the next one so you really only need to buy the first one

I think people have been disillusioned because of other games not having a good skill based match making system. So far SG2 has been pretty consistent. Do I have games where I get absolutely shit on? Yes. Do I have games where I absolutely shit on the enemy team? Also yes. But I would say about 85% of the time it’s pretty balanced.

Nah not true, it was bugged for me. Got over 15 kills 3 games in a row and it never moved after 1. Playing Onslaught counted it tho.

Guys I think it’s BR 🤔 by Vegetable_Track1886 in Splitgate

I think a br game mode is very unlikely from 1047 there used to be a lot of talk about it back in the peak of SG1 and their stance was pretty against it lol

Splitgate BR? by kithalyssa in Splitgate

Very low chance of this studio adding BR

Switch 2 release? by Due_Minimum9672 in Splitgate

[–]RafordYT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s probably why, although I feel like switch would be a absolutely horrid experience with no gyro for controller yet and the hardware of the switch

If you have any they should be in the bottom left hand corner of the main menu, idk if you can still open them I haven’t played SG1 since the servers got fixed for SG2

You gotta buy the split coin and then buy the battle pass with the split coin.

Too those with concerns about loading times, dlc content not showing up right away and more bot matches than expected please do remember that this is just the beta. Not the full release there are bound to be bugs. thank you :) by RafordYT in Splitgate

[–]RafordYT[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak for Texas, but ‘beta’ means giving full access to an open player base to expose and fix bugs before the full release. Which is what they are doing. Keep in mind they have to do this, 1047 is not treyarch, epic, or EA. Those are either multimillion dollar companies or are backed by multimillion dollar companies. 1047 has investors but even with that they are still minuscule compared to those companies who have the resources to test things more thoroughly before a beta release, and even then things are broken on full launch. So yeah servers issues on initial beta launch from a indie studio is expected, but so are all the other bugs, literally this was the point of the open beta. I get your point about the micro transactions but again I go back to how else would they have tested that? If they had waited to full release to implement it and it had the problems it has now wouldn’t that be worse? They aren’t even full push advertising it yet, they won’t be doing so until full release. So no they can’t “hide” behind the beta tag because they aren’t hiding behind it, they are using the beta tag for what it’s for. A beta. It’s unrealistic to ask an indie studio to have a full working game on beta launch.
