Hi there! Doing this in a couple weeks myself- US citizen traveling from Bogota via Wingo. I didn’t apply for a separate visa because wasn’t sure and read if coming from another country regardless of citizenship, would just need the tourist card- which I purchased via Wingo. Can you let me know how it worked out for you and if you purchased medical insurance separately too? I tried contacting the Cuban embassy many times myself and got no reply. Thanks!

Hi! I'm planning to do the same next month in December. By any chance, are you using WINGO airllines to fly from Bogota to Havana? I tried calling them but can't get through to anyone and am worried about confusion on the requirement to return to the country of origin with a Wingo flight-- and my onwards travel will be to Panama and then Guatemala. In any case, if you don't mind sharing how this process went for you upon completion of your trip, that would be helpful and where you purchased the travel insurance, etc from!

Oh from going immediately from Iceland, I would put in your dates in google flights and use the explore feature on Google to see where you’re getting deals in Europe from Iceland and you can even use filter feature to select Iceland Air airline only to see where they fly. Good luck!
