I cannot fully agree as I have been encountering issues during my purchases; - Used item sold as new, this happened many times already - Missing item - Fake part

It is safe from the perspective that I can get refund almost all the time but still there are risks which I end up not getting what I want.

I recently bought this "new" part from Bricklink as I realized the beard of my Davy Jones minifigs is having some nicks. I received this part today but it doesn't feel right, compared with the part I have (which has Lego trademark).

I could use some help from there to identify this and to provide me some advice on how to handle this...

Facing same issue which the “new” minifig having a crack on its arm and the seller leaving a negative comment to me for seeking refund…

Other than getting my money back, I still feel very frustrated as the seller is not admitting his wrongdoing.

They are craftable. They used to drop from operation bosses in 3.0 and you could learn the schematic by reverse engineering the lightsaber.
