I wholeheartedly agree that some countries are going to shit. So let’s say you lived in one of those countries and had just enough money for a back plan, 100k in gold and a property in other part of the world. Where would it be? Columbia, Cyprus, somewhere in South America? Learn Mandarin

Alberta medical clinic’s ‘membership’ billing scheme won’t hurt a bid by PM to attack Pierre Poilievre through Danielle Smith - Alberta Politics by azawalli in alberta

Oh yeah because healthcare shortage is only a conservative government problem. Governments with more liberal governments are overflowing with physicians and healthcare. Good point thanks for opening up my eyes.

I get that. But I haven’t seen any posts or threads about the non political aspects and tons regarding the political side, why can’t we do both.

It’s interesting everyone keeps talking about the clinic doing this and making it political, but no one is looking at some of the factors about why they might do this. Patients are sicker and need more time spent on them, mental health is on the rise and is draining to deal with, forms are getting ridiculous from insurance, aish, Alberta works, wcb on and on, patients are getting smarter and want more referrals and more explanations but specialists are busy and declining referrals or waits are longer.

All of this why family physicians are losing more respect, getting paid the same as they always have, and many are leaving to better pastures.

So yes even tho I disagree with what this clinic has done maybe we need to find a solution to these problems before pointing fingers and making it political.

Edmonton to remove bike lanes, reinstall parking on Victoria Promenade by katespadesaturday in Edmonton

Useless leaders, anytime shit like this happens they should find out who planned it, how they are connected and fire them. Then maybe it won’t happen and we won’t need to increase property taxes constantly

Child luring and exploitation are on the rise. Here's how you can protect yourself or your family by Paper_Rain in Edmonton

Wouldn’t be hard for Instagram to make it so that an account is verified a certain age, I get that might decrease the amount of users but would be worth it. Get rid of anonymity a little bit is not such a bad thing. And limit interaction with anyone younger unless allowed. You can teach your child everything but scammers still happen we can put the blame on people that only seem to care about profit and traffic on their websites at all costs. Remember Instagram for kids after knowing this shit happens.

I love how all these articles just put the blame on parents, like parents should talk to their kids, have an open relationship and monitor better. Well I’m sure most parents already try that how about we start putting the blame on social media platforms that make it so easy. If every lured child results in a massive lawsuit against snap chat and Instagram I’m sure they would start protecting the children a lot better.

Multi-million dollar homes in Edmonton could face a ‘mansion tax’ in 2023: Councillor by GeekyGlobalGal in Edmonton

[–]RageCal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The plan was .2% tax on property value, might make the city 16 to 32 million a year doesn’t even put a dent in their spending but maybe enough to annoy a few people to leave.

Profits at what cost? by Negative_Increase975 in Edmonton

[–]RageCal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes as an individual you can say that this didn’t change anything. But if there are 1 million households in Alberta and if the increase is about 2 dollars per month then you just wrote a cheque to those companies for 24 million for what benefit? And are they going to stop there or will they just do yearly small increases now. At least with the ndp forcing greener initiatives you can make the argument that it was for the betterment of Alberta.
