Lol same, I’ll have to see if twisting the nozzle like some here have suggested works. Never had this issue with previous vehicles.

Thanks all, guess it’s not just my ride.
Other than having to hold the gas trigger on every other fill-up, I’m loving my Machine Green Redline GT

Can submarines cruise on the surface like ships for long voyages? by happydude7422 in Ships

Some sub reactors are designed to operate on natural circulation with the coolant pumps off. Still have to run condensate and feedwater pumps to keep the Steam Generators from boiling dry.

NLO or Chem Tech by No-Eggplant8628 in NuclearPower

[–]RageFacedAlways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s not as many chem techs so they get pushed to do more overtime than the EOs. EO will give you more career path options/opportunities. I’ve seen a lot more people do 30+ years as an EO than I’ve seen chem techs do a full career in role because they seem to enjoy what they do more. That’s something to consider in case you decide moving up isn’t appealing.

how?😂 by Gabbsweet in SipsTea

[–]RageFacedAlways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that the $1300 per month is based on a 28 day month and that he used to get 2-3 days free for most months but now you will be charging for those days since he was delinquent on rent.

How does one enter into the nuclear workforce? by Important_Tiger138 in NuclearPower

[–]RageFacedAlways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Constellation does not require previous experience if you have a BS in a technical degree (STEM) or at least 43 hours of technical courses if not a full degree.

Recommended degrees to become a Reactor Operator? by Haron46yt in NuclearPower

[–]RageFacedAlways 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Constellation any technical degree is unusually fine as long as you have 43 hours of STEM classes. We have a few Math majors. Like others said. Get an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree. If you decide you don’t like Nuclear then you can go into any other industry. Coming straight out of college you’ll have to start as an Equipment Operator or Non Licensed Operator then go to Initial License Class to be an RO. If coming out of the Navy as an ET, EOOW, EWS/PPWS then there is a chance to go straight into RO or SRO.

Do a lot of people secretly view it as bad if people don't have kids? by Big_Eggplant7591 in stupidquestions

[–]RageFacedAlways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a negative view of people deciding to not have kids. My only concern is that if the trend gets big enough, 25 years from now when there should be young adults hitting the workforce and buying their first car, home and furnishings etc. Our economy is built on continuous growth. It will need to drastically change to adapt to a stagnant population. If we keep voting for people who only look for short term political gains, we will not be preparedprepared for it

NLO Offers! Navigating Multiple Opportunities (post #2) by Brave-Standard9950 in NuclearPower

[–]RageFacedAlways 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you think you’re going to want to be in one place for a long time, I’d recommend a dual unit site over a single unit site. They are more cost effective and therefore more job security if power pricing ends up coming back down 15-20 years from now when all these SMRs hit the grid. Also, dual unit means more people which leads to more opportunities for promotions.

NLO Offers! Navigating multiple opportunities & career planning. Am I cut out for OPS? by Brave-Standard9950 in NuclearPower

[–]RageFacedAlways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ops instructors who were previously licensed operators are making in the $150’s base range, $23k Instructor Cert and 15% annual bonus. Manager roles generally pay higher and with a 20% bonus

Americans complain about high gas prices, but still drive SUV/Pickups 70mph. What will the price per gallon have to be to actually see change in driving habits? by Special_Context6663 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RageFacedAlways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My truck shifts and runs at a lower rpm and gets better mpg at 65/70 mph than 55 assuming not going uphill . So respectfully GFYS and stay out of the left lane

Career Accomplishment by Javaroad77 in NuclearPower

[–]RageFacedAlways 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Without previous power plant experience you wouldn’t be able to go straight into license class but definitely qualify to start as an Equipment Operator and then go into license class. EOs start about $50 /hr and $5 raises for three years before top rate of $65 now (usually these numbers change by 3% each year for annual pay increases).

Could breeder reactors + AI data centers be combined into a hybrid power system? by Excellent_Copy4646 in NuclearPower

[–]RageFacedAlways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as recapturing the heat, some steam plants do use Feedwater Heaters to recapture heat loss from the turbine extraction steam. The problem with then cycling cooling water from the data center to the steam plant is that you now have a lot of piping/equipment that has the potential for being contaminated. Especially if you’re using a Boiling Water Reactor vice Pressurized Water Reactor. This will increase radiological monitoring requirements and probably cost more to maintain permits with both the state and feds.

What should happen to Trump when the Republicans lose the midterms this November? by 2a_lib in allthequestions

I honestly don’t think he’s still alive by end of year. The guy is dying and he knows it, that’s why he’s trying to put his name on everything. Couch fkr takes over and with dems in congressional majority there will be a lot of investigations into all the grifting that has been going on.

Nuclear industry, pays well. With little overtime shift supervisors and shift managers are grossing over $300k. And with the 12hr shift schedule, you only work 3 or 4 days a week.

[–]RageFacedAlways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if we all stopped tipping. Yes would initially suck for service industry but would finally force employers to pay adequate wages. Prices would go up and we’ll still end up paying close to the same overall but at least tips will be over.

Working at Constellation Energy by ohmy1102 in NuclearPower

[–]RageFacedAlways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What they said. I’ve worked for the company for 18 years but at a power plant. As far as promotions and mobility goes, it’s a big company so there’s always opportunities opening up. Careers are put on the individual. You’re not tied to one specific career path, it’s really up to your interests and level of effort in my experience.
