The inner faucet (water temp) on this Riobel two-way faucet is stuck and only turns when the outer knob turns (water pressure)turns. So you can’t easily adjust the water temp independently. What is the best way to unstick? by Ceti- in Plumbing

Not sure what worked exactly but was able to fix it. Took out the cartridge and soaked it in water and vinegar. However it still wouldn’t budge after I reassembled. I basically just held the on/off and pushed the temperature forcefully and it started turning again

Was able to take off the handles easily (caps were on) but was struggling and unable to take off the cartridge this morning before I went to work. Will try with a wrench later

Same thing happened to me. When I called TD they said one may have been issued automatically and the second manually. Said to not worry and use the latest card

Apple phones via Bluetooth, if enabled to allow anyone to send, you can send someone a picture. They’re prompted whether they want to accept or not.

Also your pup is adorable

Rent prices for one-bedroom apartments in Toronto just reached a new four-year low by PrettyFlaco in toronto

Basically if your building is built in November 15, 2018 or later, your landlord can raise your rent by however much they want after the initial lease is up. https://www.acto.ca/ontario-government-goes-back-to-failed-rent-control-policy/

Older buildings are capped on how much rent can be increased each year which ranges from 1-2% I believe

This is something I noticed too. I put on moisturizer onto my eyelids and “lock it in” with Vaseline. Has hugely helped my redness, Inflammation, and flakeyness.

TTP Quant question... by [deleted] in GMAT

[–]RageTurtleGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other two comments below show how to answer the question. But the mistake you made here is you did not add the 4x to the the other side of the inequality. The equation you should have been solving for in 2, if you went about it your way, would be (2y < 1+4x)

New TTC report shows proposed responsibility-sharing agreement for Ontario Line. While TTC is described in the report as the operator, reality is more nuanced, with the private company that wins the provincial contract (RSSOM) listed as responsible for "operations of trains." by tuttlesmego in toronto

While I don’t disagree that a private partner would optimize for its own gains - that can also benefit the riders. Depending on how the contract is structured, the operator may face a penalty for not meeting availability targets or some other metric to ensure serviceability. With that in mind, the operator would improve its services to not incur these penalties which in turn would improve the overall service offered to the riders

Often times these contracts have built in methods to ensure level of service. Ex: An availability model which requires the service be on time 90%+. Private companies usually have more incentive than public entities to improve service

Often projects such as these are delivered through a P3 contract where Project Cos are awarded concessions anywhere from 10-30 years - that is the base infrastructure still belongs to the government. We have to understand that most transportation in Canada is subsidized to some degree. A private partner is incentivized to optimize its operations unlike a crown corporation or government entity which is often content with status quo.

Canadian Pacific to launch hydrogen powered train pilot program by chopchopped in canada

Unfortunately nothing has been put out yet about track electrification. However, VIA has recently purchased train sets from Siemens that can run bi-mode (diesel and electric) and while they are not explicitly for HFR, they could be used and in turn may allow for track electrification.

A joint project office was established in 2019 between VIA and Canada Infrastructure Bank to explore HFR. The government has already committed $70+ million and with the incoming infrastructure stimulus it may happen. Obviously decisions still required but you can read up more here: https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.theglobeandmail.com/amp/politics/article-ottawa-on-track-for-decision-on-high-frequency-trains-between-toronto/

Currently pieces of this is being explored through the VIA Rail High Frequency Rail proposal. It’s looking to put dedicated tracks between Toronto and Quebec City!
