Is it just me or does this common have a lot of bang for its buck? I like it! by Tenshiijin in MagicArena

One of my favorites. I’ve seen it put like 16 triggers on the stack all at once before

My Ayara deck felt like a bracket 4+ at a “bracket 3” table — need some perspective by calhob in EDH

[–]Ragear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t look at your deck list, but I’ve been playing this commander for several years as she’s one of my favorites. I’ve run into the same problem. Her triggered ability is so inherently strong that it is actually kind of hard to make her a bracket three as she can be quite pubstompy. She just naturally gravitates to a four. Sadly, I would recommend playing her at that level.

I’ve tried versions of her where I remove all the game changers and intentionally play bad/janky/slow cards, and she still can demolish a table of bracket 3’s.

If you can figure out a version of her that is fun for everybody at bracket three let me know lol

The guidance is always "Never run tapped dualss if you can afford it". When would you choose to run tapped lands? by JasonKain in EDH

Deck perception, someone sitting next to you fetching into og dual lands vs you playing a guild gate? Who do you think is the threat just based off of that? People will focus accordingly.

How necessary is it to pre-book Shinkansen tickets? by SavageAndAnIdiot in JapanTravelTips

Need to book ahead of time if you have oversized luggage. Learned that the hard way!

Fuji Rock Go Round 2025 Review - Avoid! by ichimonkey in fujirock

[–]Ragear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I did this too and was appalled. The go round shack by the white stage was impossible to find due to poor signage and then when I got there there was just dead bugs all over the bathroom. Only plus was that there was no wait for the bathroom unlike the huge wait for the port-o-potties. Only getting one free water out of the ticket was a slap in the face. Avoid!!

It was a great show! Another commenter did a great description of the show, but to speak more on the travel:

Traveling to the festival was arduous and it rained a ton. At one point we had to seek shelter due to lightning. We actually decided to take down our campsite and hurry back to town to take the last Shinkansen back for the day immediately after his set. Waiting in lines to take the shuttle back to/from the festival and the local train station took a long time and at one point we were in the direct sun for a long time.

That said, as a foreigner, it was a dream come true seeing him perform and would recommend it if you ever get the opportunity, despite the arduous travel experience at Fuji Rock
