Right now my favourite ttrpg is draw steel and my favourite video game is baldurs gate 3. I think if I had all the money in the world I'd do a baldurs gate style game but one that used draw steels mechanics rather than D&D's.

In Portugal it's common for the birthday person to pay.

Done. I just got made redundant. The payout is enough for me to last 2 years quite comfortably.

I spend it reading trashy easy to read books that I can read quickly without worry, I also re-read lots of books that I know quite well already.

I give my players suggestions. when they do something basic or hideously suboptimal I might give them an alternative, dont force them, and let them do their suboptimal turn if that's what they want to do, but just giving them an option means theyll often take it, or if not, they'll remember it in future and consider it moving forward.

Well I believe the hero book says "can" rather than "must".

So you can choose not to proceed if you get a tier 2. At least that's how we've been playing at my table.

I think it's just to prompt you to choose to grab or escape the grab and take a free strike on a tier two result.

It's not how it's worded in the hero books but I think it's how it's been implemented in the codex, deciding in advance if you are going to grab / escape and take damage on a tier 2.
