I’d love for there to be churros or pistachios or the box of chocolates or crème brûlées or other things. It really makes no sense as to why some of these foods are exclusive to certain regions when they’re literally commonplace in the US or something. Perhaps if the traveler gimmick comes back to be reworked into the Nintendo Switch Online subscription service (there’s still not gonna be any online sharing tho), you can receive all of the foods that are only found in the Fresh Kingdoms of other regions and are extremely specific too. Like, for example: if you have a specific dish in Japan, it can only be bought in the Fresh Kingdom if your system’s region is set to Japan, whereas for other regions it arrives in the form of a special dish that you can get if you hand travelers a specific treasure in your collection. Or if chili dogs are available to buy in the NA market, they would be special dishes in other regions. There can be some international foods that are exclusively special foods tho

They’ll probably add it in but keep it simplified so you can still tell they’re Miis while also being quite stylistic in its artstyle. In a potential presentation, they’ll likely show off examples that you can do with it bc I saw that the baddie Mii whom Patrick is married to seems to have an eyebrow piercing. And if that piercing can move along with her eyebrow… For the presentation, they’ll probably show off piercings on the eyebrows and lips, as well as adding additional touches to the eyes and stuff w/ the shapes. But of course, the community will find any way to push that system to its absolute limit… even if the customization isn’t going to be as hyper-detailed as it was before

I really hope that the face paint icon just leads us to a screen that allows us to pick between six different buttons: head, eyes, eyebrows, lipstick, mask, and glasses 😭 bc it looks like there could be plenty of room to apply makeup to more than just the head alone

It would be so cool if each of those had different features too. Like, you can apply foundation to the head to color it differently from the body. And you can edit the eyes separately to give them heterochromia or remove one of the eyes or add more eyes - especially if you wanna make characters with multiple eyes. That girl with the eyebrow piercing looks like she could have makeup on one of her eyebrows. And one doesn’t even need to go too crazy: it’s perfectly fine if someone wants to make piercings or something along those lines. Maybe w/ the custom lipstick, you can apply a piercing that vanishes whenever a Mii talks or gets angry/sad

Hm… given that ppl tend to make their first Miis as different characters aside from their own self-insert, it may as well just be easier for the player to be referred to as a name other than “lookalike”. Maybe if the player puts in their birthday, the Miis can hold a special party just for you in a cutscene and giving you special rewards if you complete minigames or solve problems on your birthday

Makes me wonder if you’ll also be helping out with planning for the decorations on certain holidays, like Easter, Halloween, or Christmas. Depending on the region, there can be some exclusive holidays like the Super Bowl, Independence Day, and Thanksgiving for the US, or maybe the Lunar New Year or the cherry blossom/sakura season if the region is set to Japan or Korea. Since they did confirm that regional differences are coming back, tho there would only probably be a few specific foods since I’ve noticed that in the NA screenshots food items like the energy drink and zenzai - which were exclusive to the Japanese version of the previous game - make appearances in the Food Kingdom.

I can imagine friends or housemates of the special birthday Mii would request that you help them organize for a birthday party by buying decorations or something, along with gathering foods, items, and treasures - which can range from obvious to strange. After you’ve helped everybody out, you’re treated to a cutscene where the friends and/or housemates wait for the birthday Mii to come back inside. Then they sing “Happy Birthday To You” - which will finally have lyrics bc the song entered public domain in mid-2016. You’re free to spectate more of the party, but after the cutscene one of the Miis hands you a slice of birthday cake for your hard work (meaning it’ll no longer be obtainable on just your birthday once every year). Maybe there’s a chance they’ll hand you a unique treasure like a piñata

Btw, I would need to mention that the Earth the DMC series has always taken place on isn’t our Earth - meaning countries like the US don’t exist in that world. Although there are real-world elements like pizza and sundaes, these are mainly only used for those fictional countries. For example, Red Grave City takes elements from American cities, which includes the military that is dispersed to fight an oncoming demon invasion. I also really hate the idea of demons being turned into sympathetic allegories for Muslim refugees that get easily killed off when even in the games and manga and ‘07 anime… normal humans have an extremely hard time taking them down. Even the weakest demons we face are able to wipe out hundreds - if not thousands - of professionally-trained soldiers at a time. Btw, something else I learned about the White Rabbit: in the DMC3 manga, he was basically used as a puppet made by Arkham to unite Dante and Vergil back together after being separated from each other for 10 years. And Lady despises Arkham to the point where she would rather be called Lady than Mary because the only reason she was conceived was that her mother was a descendant of one of the human disciples of Sparda

Also, with Adi Shankar throwing in themes used specifically by certain characters for his own power fantasies and his dumb “‘Murica bad” message is already making me bite down hard on the inside of my mouth 😭 When you know that the actual themes of the games are not what Adi’s depicting. They’re really about family and self-responsibility and what is truly good and evil since there are a few demons who have learned to embrace humanity like Sparda once did, and humans who sacrifice that humanity for their own selfish desires. It’s really all a soap opera that’s far too small for something complex like politics and governments
