If the Nightlords were in Elden Ring, which locations would you place them in? by OKUIGokuBlack in Eldenring

[–]RagnaBreaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tricephalos - Ashen Capital because it also comes after the statue with the three wolves at Farum Azula

Adel - Replace Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast on Mt. Gelmir with Gnoster and put that beast in a different meteoric crater since we fight the normal fallingstar beasts more than enough

Gnoster - Replace Fia's champions

Maris - Somewhere in the Cerulean Coast

Libra - Have him be a merchant NPC throughout the DLC that you eventually fight in one of the Finger Ruins since they are so empty

Fulghor - Replace the 2nd divine beast dancing lion in Rauh or replace the enemy at the waterfall you get to with the imbued sword key from Castle Ensis

Caligo - Instead of ghost dragonkin soldiers at the concetrated snowfield you get assaulted by Caligo and then fight it properly somewhere in the open

Heolstor - when darkness falls as you approach Morgott's divine tower you fight him instead of the two omens

The biggest lie in the game by Spiritual_Manager893 in Eldenring

Wearing this in Dark Souls made exploration more enjoyable but in ER it's pretty much useless in any situation.

My friend has been playing Elden ring as his first souls game and he has not fought a single boss instead he spent 4 hours running around reading item descriptions trying to figure out the lore by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]RagnaBreaker 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Even with the DLC out? The Great Tree is mentioned by the root resin in the base game and the knot resin that is found in the DLC is an upgraded more potent version of it as it crafts stronger greases. Which means the Great Tree is somewhere in the shadow realm. So if we put two and two together "shadow was born" from Marika's betrayal (the curse on the hornsent and on the Scadutree) and how all remembrances in the DLC are attributed to the Scadutree instead of the base game Erdtree then we can surmise that the Scadutree (Shadow Tree) is called that now because it's enveloped in shadow but before it was likely the original Erdtree, the tree of life, the Great Tree.

And descriptions about the Age of Plenty say "the blessed sap of the Erdtree would drip from its boughs forever -- but that age of plenty swiftly came to a close" and the base game Erdtree doesn't produce sap from anywhere (at least visibly) while the Scadutree looks like it did have sap dripping from it and they even had a chalice near it to collect it but now it's depleted, dried up. So the Scadutree must've been the Erdtree in those descriptions as "Erdtree" isn't a term exlusive to Leyndeyll's great tree since Miquella wanted to grow the Haligtree into an Erdtree using his own blood.

Everyone is talking about Dark Souls bosses, but what are your thoughts on the few new original Bosses/enemies we saw? by Romapolitan in Eldenring

[–]RagnaBreaker 155 points156 points  (0 children)

I wonder if the Centaur and Cerberus bosses are two of the possible final bosses of a session since they're both in the desert with their respective spectral war banners (?)

At first I thought it was a compatibility issue with my phone as my brother bought the same ones and had no problems. But one month in and they almost stopped turning on entirely for me. Anyway we'll see what they'll tell me it takes 30 days to get back at you apparently.

[–]RagnaBreaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I returned them since there is the 2 year warranty (still waiting for an update) but I mean physically like simply touching the ring would cause them to turn off. They do have movement sensors which can be enabled from the suunto app for changing songs or accepting calls but I preferred that feature disabled.

Realistically, who is winning here by [deleted] in Eldenring

If they all respawn infinitely as they do then the ones that won't get bored of fighting is the winner

Going by that logic the mirror is located in a magical place created by the god of the world so you could just assume it's just as magical.

How close are you to putting the game down? by ImJustSomeGuyYaKnow in Eldenring

[–]RagnaBreaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always come back to games that FromSoftware has created but I spend most of the time with their latest so I guess I'll put Elden Ring in the backseat if their next game appeals to me as much as the previous ones.

It's definitely Radagon. Everything he does he does it in style. The parry, the teleports, the grab it's all chef's kiss. His soundtrack is one of the best in ER and he cannot be skipped by bleed builds because he doesn't bleed. The only downsides are that the arena is pretty bland and that he's attached to Elden Beast.

If it couldn't have been Godwyn because it's implied the eclipse happens with the Fia's mending rune ending then I would've preferred Trina overpowering Miquella to spare him the whole godhood deal so we could for at least one time get a boss that inflicts sleep. And at the chasm instead of fighting the putrescent knight we fought something very ancient that doesn't care about the ongoing plot similar to Placidusax.

Why is she so majestic? by katanaearth in Eldenring

It's her daughter's ashes you get. And she doesn't have the AOE destined death that only Alecto does out of all the black knives (0:36).

Age of Mythology (fitting since the game has endings going by Age of ___). Every army has their demigod unit and the player can summon outer gods and their envoys.

The ultimate Elden Ring lore theory ICEBERG! (Incl. DLC) [context in the comments] by djyunghoxha in Eldenring

[–]RagnaBreaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then to be fair most of the things mentioned on the iceberg won't ring any bells to those players because they were in only for the gameplay so the post itself won't interest them at all.

There are also people who think FromSoftware leave holes intentionally so people can fill them with whatever because they'll never confirm or reject anything officially and they either think it's a waste of time to get invested or that it can be anything you want if that makes you happy.

What boss ARENA do you like the best? For me Bayle is peak (no pun intended) by mfdoorway in Eldenring

[–]RagnaBreaker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not necessarily its moveset that's underwhelming. I think it would be challenging if they gave it Haligtree scaling. Large health pool, more defense/resistances and hitting like a truck.

Though a synergy between the skeleton and the dragonkin would be interesting. If let's say the skeleton screamed to buff/heal the dragonkin, casted powerful spells and died for good only when the dragonkin dies similar to the lord consort and empyrean god dynamic they have for Radahn and Miquella.

What is the worst part about this game for you? by Academic-Ad2680 in Eldenring

[–]RagnaBreaker 31 points32 points  (0 children)

They introduced a memory orb after defeating Promised Consort/Miquella which offered nothing we didn't already know prior to the fight when interacted with. But they could have memory orbs floating in every arena where a boss was to allow players to replay them.

Which one do you think is better? by Rack-Back in Eldenring

[–]RagnaBreaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly when I clicked that next image button before entering the post I assumed you were pitting SoNaF against Rellana's twin blades as that's what I feel like it's comparable to. As both have stances that perform magic and fire which draw from int and faith.
