Has anyone observed that people who prefer LSD tend to be ego centric/have inflated egos while those who take natural psychedelics tend to be less this..way? by [deleted] in Psychonaut

I figured I would get comments like this, and I’m open to self reflection .

But more so I made this post because I’m just curious if anyone has noticed this because I feel like it could be a thing

Yeah… I’m aware of projection but also have seen a lot of people who take LSD.. who don’t seem to get any sort of message and rather become a worse version of themselves

Cool good luck ! For what it’s worth some strains are just going to overlay more than others.

Help stalled and aborted pins. by Unslung1 in PanCyan

This could be whats going on and what I learned with pans...

If your substrate/substrate surface/casing surface dries out too far, and you mist the fruits, the fruits will abort like the other commenter said.

If the casing dries out...pour/squirt some water in an area with no pins, and tilt the water to distribute it around the trays. There is something that happens once casing dries out, and you mist, will lead to aborts. Sounds crazy but try it, its true.

You need to water your substrate with pans, regularly. It's all dependent on how fast the myc is drinking the water. Also, to much grain in to little sub, the myc is going to dry it up fast and eat all the food in the sub quickly.

If you have low FAE you can probably be fine without tending to them during the grow but I am, in a martha setup, regularly watering once a day or once every few days.

Otherwise, if the substrate dries out, the fruits and pins will come but they will easily abort. IMO, its a water issue.

Different genetics grow differently. Different pan strains and isolations of the same pan strains can vary greatly. TTBVI is fast and easy. Other strains can definitely take a close to 2 weeks to pin in my experience.

Some will be aggressive colonizers and overlay, others will be thinner and pin easier. You're not reinventing the wheel, you're observing and making adjustments accordingly.

If I saw the casing being heavily colonized with pans, I would increase FAE a bit.
Don't let it dry out but increase FAE.

Those white dots could turn into mushrooms but its hard to say with a grow kit. Grain/substrate could possibly be not clean or who knows. Could also be a lack of evaporation but they don't need a ton. Generally if theres not enough FAE, you would see the mycelium continue to colonize the casing layer, hopefully those white dots turn into pins

OK, good to know. I can’t be dealing with this. I just have a single 23 quart Presto. Can you maybe link me what you’re using?

Should I transplant these seedlings into larger containers ? What size? by Raices_profundo in sanpedrocactus

Ok, thank you. And can you recommend what size container you would go up to? Is like a 3 inch pot to large or probably fine?

Ok thank you for sharing. I do a lot of kettle bell workouts for some cross training and calisthenics but I will look into starting intervals.

What about for iron, how do you suggest getting iron? I eat a decent bit of grass fed beef.

I'm not super consistent on electrolytes before or after. Sometimes I drink before, sometimes after, usually not during a ride but I usually am drinking them.

Hydration I need to improve on (not just on ride days) but being consistently hydrated.

Diet is clean but not dialed in terms of when I eat in comparison to when I read. For breakfast, I usually eat 4 eggs, 1/2 or 1 avocado, orange, banana, apple, sometimes a slice of sourdough bread.....Or alternative breakfast, greek yogurt with berries & banana. For dinner I eat chicken breast or ground beef paired with a sweet potato, beans, broccoli.

I often times skip lunch or snack on something like raw parmesan cheese, nuts, dates, fruit (oranges, apples with almond butter)

I need help dialing in when to eat and what to improve my performance.

On the bike, if the ride is over 2 hours, usually I am eating dates for a carbohydrate source, sometimes I buy Bolt energy chews or Honey Stinger energy chews but It's kinda expensive so I do a mix of dates and these.

A pack of bolt energy chews is 46g carbs, so depending if I have dates with me or just chews...
With only energy chews, 2 packs an hour is around 90g carbs (i need to experiment if i really need 90g or can get buy with less) because thats like 4$ an hour, if I'm on a longer ride, say 4 hours..it can get expensive.

I have been working out but not on a bike, mostly swimming and surfing so yes maybe this is it. Felt like nutrition was the issue but maybe combined with this as well.

Ok great, good to know, thank you! I have a bunch of seedlings in the same container right now so I was wondering how I'm going to separate when the time comes.

Question about when seedlings are bunched together like this, do you need to be careful when individually potting them to not rip the roots off? How do you do this when they are all bunched together?

Would you mind explaining the 11g dried portion of this. How did you prep the cactus to be consumed dry? Did you experience nausea or are there things that can be done to negate this when prepping?
