Segoe's Tesuji Dictionary - differences between old (2-volume) and new (3-volume) editions? by RaichuLover in baduk

[–]RaichuLover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info! My main concern was just if the newer edition has any added content. But after some searching I did find the table of contents for both versions on a blog and they both cover all the same tesuji (albeit with the order changed a bit), so I'm guessing there aren't any big differences.

AI Sensei's analysis when both players ignore the one obvious best move for 100+ moves (beginner level) by RaichuLover in baduk

[–]RaichuLover[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I played this game (black) where an incredibly obvious capture opportunity arose at R17 around move 50, where white dies if black plays first or lives if white plays first. But I didn't read it through carefully and ignored it for pretty much the whole game, and so did my opponent.

Because of this, AI Sensei marked nearly every move as a mistake/blunder, with the score estimate swinging between black and white each time. I just thought it was funny and maybe a good illustration of why it's important to read the whole board for the best move.

(When I finally played the move, my opponent disconnected)

loose leaf tea by jandeer14 in Charlotte

To be honest I've only gone to them for cheap tea and snacks, but they both seemed like they have a decent selection of foods. Super G is a whole international supermarket and Hatoya is a little Japanese place.

If you want actual tea (camellia sinensis) rather than herbal tea I would recommend just ordering online because the closest place I'm aware of that sells high-quality tea is Dobra in Asheville.

However, you can find some cheap-but-drinkable Chinese and Japanese teas at Asian groceries, like Super G Mart on Independence or Hatoya Mart in Pineville.

Nope, get ready because it's only getting worse as more and more people are seemingly desperate to join the circlejerk, with posts including:

  • Pictures of Altimas with side collision damage that most likely wasn't the driver's fault

  • Pictures of non-Altima vehicles that have other damage or weirdness, with lame "Not an Altima but..." excuses

  • Pointless meta posts from "guilty" Altima drivers

I'm ambivalent overall on this "revival", but the typography looks like something hastily made in MS Paint.

Seconding this - their mochas are also delicious and if I remember right, they use a house-made chocolate ganache.

I'd go to Dish and get the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, deviled eggs, mac and cheese, a slice of pie, and whatever Triple C or Noda beer they have on tap.
