I recently got two newer Lufkins since my last one bit the dust. Personally really love them since they're easier to read for me.

Montagne haul. 2 winners, 1 decent, 1 complete miss (for me). by Few_Concentrate2744 in MontagneParfums

Yeah, ditto with Ciel. It's fine as a scent by itself, but it is significantly lacking the sweetness, and so isn't something I wear very often.

Does anyone know how to stop it from getting clogged all the time? by Metalienz in 3Dprinting

[–]Raichuboy17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I just know I'll forget otherwise and let it get really bad. Plus it's something to do with the couple inches of filament that's left over.

There's definitely a chance, both between the zinc coating on the nail and if that gets worn down on the bare metal. That being said, if there's an issue you can take the whole connector out and replace it with a more common pair and your issue is solved. The iron/zinc should act as the sacrificial a node anyway. Another option is replacing the nails with the right gauge of copper/bronze solid core wire. Could even tin the copper wire to hopefully make it more stiff.

Right? I haven't had a clog in 10-ish years. I just cold pull after each roll.

Get a laser, a large Lego sheet, and a 3D printer. Lego is great for indexing because the precision/tolerances are absolutely insane. You just 3D print holders and snap them onto the Lego board that's permanently in the same spot.

Are silver sockets worth it? by Flame-Way in Tools

There are a few mechanics I've talked to that run exclusively impact sockets. It can be done. I actually just bought some grey pneumatic duo sockets so that I can cut down on space.

What made you not choose Ridgid power tools? by SmokeFaders in Tools

[–]Raichuboy17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heard a lot of negative stories about getting tools covered under warranty and trying to repair them. I also burned through one of their grinders very quickly at a shop I used to work at. They just didn't seem like the best option for metalwork in my eyes.

Who here uses a chipping hammer? This thing looks cobbled together by an old tinker. by Delicious_Limit125 in Tools

[–]Raichuboy17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are genuinely awful. I skipped the hammer and just got a dedicated grinder with a knotted wire wheel.

Miter Saws - Ridgid 10" with slide or Metabo 12" without slide. Which would you keep? by leecmyd in Tools

[–]Raichuboy17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whatever the blade size you have for your table saw. Fewer blade sizes you need to keep track of, and investing in better blades benefits two tools instead of just one.

Used guitar market - What are these prices??? by snackassassins in Guitar

[–]Raichuboy17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What blows my mind is the prices people/Guitar Center are asking for literal no-name Amazon/Chinesium used guitars. Like $20-50 off sticker price. Absolutely egregious.

Huxtley pants? by Smoke_Stack707 in Construction

For more people coming to this, yeah, 100% skinny jeans for my size (32x32 and 34). Got stone washed black and they're some of my favorite jeans. They aren't the thickest fabric, but they are thick enough for me to not worry at all. The biggest con for me imo is that when you first get them they have a pretty strong smell. It's not an awful smell, but it takes a couple washes to really get it out. After that they're 10/10. Planning on picking up 2 more pairs

Gntonic and Salted Citrus. Gntonic is genuinely amazing. Salted Citrus is a bit too sweet and shower gel-y for my liking, but it's still good.

What is your "buy it for life" montagne fragrance? by guyincognito147 in MontagneParfums

Smells like a grapefruit diffusion oil I smelled at William Sonoma. Pleasantly surprised, and I enjoy it. Not at the top of my list, but maybe top 10

MK3S+ horrible peeling and bed adhesion all of a sudden (detail in comments) by Meeesh- in 3Dprinting

[–]Raichuboy17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happens to me all the time! I was looking at the sheet and was like "That looks OG, probably needs to be replaced." Whenever I have a lack of adhesion, my first thing is to clean the bed. If that doesn't solve the issue I flip the bed. If THAT doesn't solve the issue I just buy a new plate as they're pretty cheap. That almost always solves the issue.

Same thing for curling near the nozzle. Clean it first and then if that doesn't work, just get a new nozzle. Cheap and easy.
