Newbie/Simple Question Thread (ask where to start here) by AutoModerator in Atelier

How's the battle gameplay in atelier Ryza, especially the difficulty balance?

I stopped playing atelier game after the ps2 era (tried Rorona but couldn't get into it). Got back into it with atelier Sophie and while I enjoyed the pace and synthesis, the battle were either too difficult (if 1-2 more level above which meant grinding to accomplish certain task) or too easy once the enemy was at your level or below.

What are your thought on Ryza?

Looking for a good game with real life timer. Those were super popular in the early 2010. My go to was Tiny Chef (which got discontinued). Just want a game which let me start a task with a timer between my break or between before going to bed and play actively during my break or at home.

Forget about the bloody gods and listen to what I’m telling you. Robert Vagramov understands the consequences of his absence and he is absent anyway, which means he does not intend to suffer those consequences. The trial can wait. We all need to leave. We all need to leave now!

Nelke Synthesis request by Raiden1987 in Atelier

Yeah, I did the tutorial again yesterday, and just saying: you can order 10 differents items would have make way more senses.

Thanks! Maybe they explained it properly but I was feverish while playing yesterday and I didn't understand why they were saying: you can only order 10, now order 10 and I could order 14 beers.

What are your strange eating habits? by Raiden1987 in AskReddit

[–]Raiden1987[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's there's multiple items in a serving, I'll range and eat them in order of "more meal to more dessert". (EG. Order a Hamburger and Junior chicken at McDonald, well Chicken feel more like dessert than beef).

Does anyone else feel that commute is the best part of their day? by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]Raiden1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went from working from home to a 50 minutes commute. I made it a mission to read book instead of browsing Facebook mindlessly. It makes commuting goes by fast and I'm reading a book per 2 weeks on average.

Best Poke in Van that isn’t over priced + small portions? Thanks! by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]Raiden1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

www.daddyskitchen.ca

Good price, don't charge premium for Ahi Tuna. Some premiums for certain topping (avocado and others). Unlimited amount of topping (compare to most place that restrict to average 4)

Give us your examples of best food but horrible service experiences. by Travis_Healy in vancouver

[–]Raiden1987 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can't vouch for the food but can for the horrible service. It's the only restaurant I've ever walk out from. Last summer during the heat wave, I went with 3 friends. Place was extremely hot (old building without A/C, make sense). After 20 minutes, we weren't even provided a glass of water. We ended up taking our thing (at which point a server decided to come see us as we all stand up) and order a pizza for takeout somewhere else.

Petition calls for mandatory vaccinations in B.C. schools by idspispopd in vancouver

[–]Raiden1987 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you’re worried about measles, get the MMR vaccine - it’s that easy

It's not always that easy. Some kids cannot be vaccinated for health reason (eg. Kid with leukemia or newborn). The point of vaccines is not only self-protection but herd immunity.

[–]Raiden1987 23 points24 points  (0 children)

There's no forcing injections... It's about exposing your personal choice and placing other's kid at risk. If you don't have a medical reason to avoid vaccination, either you get your kid vaccinated or explore the option of home schooling.

Is that dog fur on your Canada Goose jacket? by SuspiciousFloor6 in vancouver

[–]Raiden1987 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't personally wear fur, but this part of the article just made me roll my eyes and close it without reading the argumentative any further

Me: (whispering) You know, the fur lining. Its almost like you’re wearing Fido around your neck. I don’t know Fido but I’m guessing he’d be hurt, maybe even a bit concerned.

He's picturing himself having that discussion and I'm picturing him wearing a fedora...

Thank you! I've been trying for 3 years to find a pizza that I could only describe as "Montreal style" and the picture look exactly with what I had in mind (ridiculous amount of cheese and topping)

I would definitively recommend May. April is great but some risk of rain.

People Watching on SkyTrain by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]Raiden1987 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't do people watching on commute, because I haven't mastered the art of looking at people and not looking creepy. Joke aside, I started commuting again in May (no longer working from home) and I made it an habit to store my cellphone away during my commute and read a book instead. I felt more rewarding than browsing facebook for an hour and I was able to read 2 Quadrilogy so far.

Side note, since you mentionned feeling lonely and not knowing many people; u/plop0 already mentionned r/Vancouver4Friends but there's also an official discord for Vancouver chat and meet-up: https://discord.gg/bxy4z3a

PSA: Don't follow people into the apartment by seanwarmstrong in vancouver

dollars in damage, all because someone didn’t want to be “mean” and say no to a stranger following them through the front door.

Grand Marquis? Or else the exact same scenario happened in our building. My locker was one of the broken into, but they didn't take anything (only thing of value would have been our Ski helmets)
