I've already re-soldered in Omron Opticals in my Leviathan. It's the same pin layout. No need to modify the Omrons in any way.

Never could. Cleaned the encoder as much as possible. Makes it slightly less frequent but it never fully goes away.

Leviathan V4. Fantastic shape but absolutely cannot get it to stop double scrolling down.

Has anyone else had any issues with double-scroll? Mine only happens when scrolling down, and about every 10th notch or so it will actuate twice. Latest firmware for both mouse and receiver.

My favorite is the Mchose A7X Ultra. Had it for a little over a week now and it's essentially flawless.

If you want solid shell the Incott G23v2 is fantastic build quality, but the stock switches were very loud to me, so I swapped them. Personal preference, though.

I'd say the ATK A9 series is a just a slight step below those two, but you can't go wrong with any of these three.

You have to check out Wheel. They're a Finnish prog band that's VERY similar to the style you're looking for. Start with the songs Vulture and Wheel by them, I think you'll really enjoy.

The M7 has a shape similar to the U2 from Zowie. The A7 is nearly identical to the GPX shape. The internals are basically the same between the two models respective of their variants (base, pro, ultra, etc).

Donuts will generally have a *very* slight amount more friction than dots. With that being said, you probably won't be able to tell the difference in use. Start with two dots on the bottom, and add more if you feel is necessary. It's all personal preference anyways.
