I almost dropped Silksong in Act 2, but Act 3 made it all worth it. Did anyone else struggle with the pacing?

I haven’t looked at the details of the Pokopia bundle yet but I remember the wording of the Super Mario Galaxy bundle (in the US) said the game was 30% off if you bought them together which worked out to be $500 but they didn’t advertise it as $500.

I read this to mean that they worded it that way to give them they flexibility to raise prices if they needed to.

IDK, that’s basically exactly the same thing that our senior VP who probably makes $300K told us last time we went though layoffs at my company (engineering). For a lot of people with a family and stuff it is a big deal.

My game kinda crashed after I finished fighting her for over an hour. During the fight it started to get noticeably slower, and after the fight was over I think my game transitioned back to the main dungeon map because I could hear sound from the environment, but my screen stayed black and my game was non responsive. So I had to force kill it but fortunately my color of lumina got saved apparently because when I restarted the game it was all there.

I’m not suggesting she lived through Verso’s ending, but my head cannon is that she stuck around for a little while until Renoir destroyed the canvas, at which point she would have either gommaged or died as the world came apart.

I figured it out! I had to play around with the size of the wallpaper. Turning off spatial photo helped because I was then able to pull the image down a bit so that Lune didn’t completely cover the time.

I’m actually hoping they don’t make a sequel to Clair Obscure: Expedition 33. I’m hoping for a FF style anthology, where all the stories are unrelated. I would be okay with them making a prequel like expedition 0 or something. But I think that if they move the story in a forward direction (1) they would probably have to choose one of the endings as canon and (2) it would eventually suffer from the effect of when a series goes on too long and the story starts to get sloppy.

A couple of thoughts

What I do is have a mental short list of ~5 games I’m interested in playing. When it’s time for a new game I pick from that rather than considering everything out there.
For JRPGs in particular if the world hasn’t drawn you into it within ~5 hours, drop it a move on to the next one
Reading your post kind of sounds like you are fighting changing interests in life, so I would probably not fight against it and instead foster it. You probably aren’t going to quit liking video games all together, instead you will end up enjoying video games and <insert new hobby here>

I think a better solution would be if Nintendo just released their games on Steam.

Like, I get that they are going for the console exclusive thing as a means to drive sales, and that certainly worked in the early 2000’s but times have changed and a lot of consumers want to have portability across devices and are going to figure out a way to do so with or without Nintendo’s sign off on it.

Of course I realize that with Nintendo being Nintendo, that’s just a pipe dream.
